No probably not, until they find that something affects them directly. Then they will wake up and think about that and other things.
For instance, I can't understand how younger people accept the current stupid level of house prices. Houses are unaffordable for so many in so many areas yet folk seem to accept it.
My view is that good housing, whether public or private, is a fundamental basic of a reasonable society and that government should will the means for this. Something that successive governments have failed to do.
