Amazing drive, no wonder Tony uses the exhaust pipe for marital stimulation!
Just a shame it looks bland (especially in white), but, never judge a book by the cover...

I don't really understand what you mean here Tony...
Are you telling us that from a standing start using 6th gear only you managed to out perform the WRX???????
Bear in mind here that Clarkson managed to get outrun down a 1/4 mile strip by a familiy estate when he was in an FQ400... because he was in top gear (pardon the pun) so had no boost...
Exactly which gears was the WRX 'going through?'

My car doesn't have a 6th gear, but if it did it'll be quicker than a Ruf through the gears, probably, I think

Some people are saying narrow minded? yet they will sit there and say "oh you need an exhaust, bigger turbo, bigger injectors etc" to get 300+bhp, yet this is a factory standard engine (except the panel filter) and yet it outperforms a standard wrx which is going 3rd/4th/5th to try to keep up, whilst the nice jdm engine just pulls (probaby because it doesnt have the flat 4 sound anymore, which is actually a hinderence), and considering ive owned scoobs for 5 years now, ive had both classic and blobeye scoobs, and the blobeye one is better by quite a margin over the "tuned" classic.
And as you say Sam, people havnt driven one so how can they comment on its performance when they need to put a very modified car up against it (proves a point i think )
The fact is, people look at BHP as being the be all and end all, where its actually not, call me lazy but i dont need to change gears to enjoy wrx performance and if i want better than M3 (e46) performance, ill go though the gears
To Hawk,
Cheers thanks for sticking up for me while i wasnt here
Actually, thanks to everyone who stuck up for me whilst i wasnt here
And to the guy who thinks these cars are bland....... Have you ever driven a scoob (probably a classic ) well then, i can state with my hand on my heart that after driving one of these little monsters, you wont want your old car because this is a damn sight better, in every department

Do you have deltadash ? If so can you do a power run in 4th gear and tell me the 30-50, 50-70 and 70-90 incremental times for your spec C. It would be interesting to compare the flexibility with my 03WRX which has been mildly modified
Hawk, can you time your Porsche, just to see how much you need to find to keep up with my old Sti5

Away Tony been on your jollies?
Thing that makes me laugh so much is that these wrx owners actually have more in thier UK done up pap, they lose the precious warrenty, and they still get outdone by a standard jap car.
Why not just spend a bit more to start with and save a load of time money.......and not get looked down on by us JAPHEADS
