Pug done well considering its bhp. Was as case of watching the WR1 go off into the distance on the straights and catch him on his miss daisey braking. Mind you I'd be cautious too at that price.

I think it all comes down to a few things! A 130bhp pug! maybe good suspension? or not, but weighs around 900kg if lucky? bhp per tonne v good!!!! and v good driver with all of the mentioned? or 315 bhp scoob with 1500kg car and more with big foot in the seat doing the co-driver thing, and the car being worth £30k+!!!! pug £1500?? If it was mine,my girlfriend would be doing better lap times in her fiat bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ED I disagree; with a fully laden car (pads, discs, oil, computers & more) I did go round the track at an almighty 40-45 mph; the clonking as everything moved on each corner had me backing off, as I was concerned about damage to the panels.....

Still it showed the passenger the correct lines & it is just as easy to slide at 40 as it is 140; though the slide doesn't last as long. And yes I got overtaken by every single car out there. And yes I'm on film somewhere & yes it was me driving.....

Gangsta, It seemed you had a great day & you provide plenty of entertainment for most people. So it was only your 3rd track day & yes the lines could improve to make you faster around the circuit, but at the beginning of the day "this is not a race". You had fun, the car is a nice car.......... And you had your own pit crew........

15 year old 130bhp 205GTi V 315bhp WR1 ..........
What is the point of this thread, boasting about your Pug or slagging the WR1?

If you put the Stig in the WR1 I'm sure he would wipe your ***. Driver ability is the no.1 factor when comparing cars on a track.
Enjoy your glory..

I think it was unnecessary to label it 315bhp Jap Crap in the video

When I went round Bedford (the infamous 'everyone is banned-wait some are some aren't' day) I wasn't doing it for anything other than enjoying drive the car, rather than "scalp collecting".
As long as you both had fun driving your cars around the track where's the harm?
When it rained when I was there I wasn't even trying to go fast round there, all I was concerned with was getting the Scoob to slide

Overtaking Subaru's on a wet track day in a 2 wheel drive car does have a certain appeal though.

"wet twisties"

May have been a bit slow due to a faulty dump valve.

They kindly swapped their own, working, one in order for Tiny to get out on track

Gary - if you're so good how come you're using the gears to slow you down? And why didnt you go past under braking at the end of the straight?

Most likely because Gary is a good driver, with good track etiquette - We were TOLD not to pass under braking

Was trying to get over the point that we weren't meant to be overtaking into braking zones because if people can't use mirrors on the roads, you can hardly expect them to use mirrors in the heat of the moment on the track By good I meant not wreckless
