This reminds me of people who watch a TV prog then complain about it afterwards - if you don't like it, why fvcking read it?
As to Gangsta taking his car to a trackday knowing full well he had no brakes (fronts) what a ****![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Just waiting to see what happens when you unwind![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
PS - how can you let a 15 yo 130hp french cluttermobile give you a hard time on track.
Top Gear were right about WR1s weren't they

Looked like he was doing it the wrong way Ie braking progressively harder. Should slam on the anchors then gradually ease off to allow the car to stabilise before entering the corner.

I wasn't braking till the 100 sign, mine isn't that much lighter than a scoob surely.. Then again I might have been braking a little earlier i paid 9k more for my car and i hadn't bothered checking the brakes knowing i was going to a full-days trackday. I'm sure he still had a great time even tho he had to brake early.
FWIW I think the red flaps look good on his WR1 !

The flaps are an acquired taste ... you either like em or you don't. I do so that's why I bought them ... glad you like them also SidHead.
I went there knowing I needed rear pads - which my dealer brought with him to the track day but not thinking I needed front pads. Which I was advised I would need after the day if I gave the brakes a good pounding. Which I didn't - which is why I got home safely and can now change my pads and bed them in properly at my own convenience.

right-click then download.
Near end of lap 1 / beginning of lap two you hear my instructor talking about it. Some good tips on his commentary.

I have to admit I have made bad brake bad decisions in the past and it will never happen again. You live and learn Gangsta. I still think its an excuse by the way

I was braking at the 150 metre mark.
....and that was with nackered brakes
The low pad warning light (gotta love these 15 year old cars) came on just before lunch....I have only had them in for a few gentle miles too ![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)
....If I am going to play at track days with race tyres and suspension - I may as well go the whole hog and order some Performance Friction 97 brakes pads too
not cheap

Wasn't a problem on the light rain - none of it came in and i had a garage. The problem came when we had a massive downpour mid-lap. Water was flying off the sidewindows into our faces
![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Had to fly into the pits, stick the roof up (7 secs luckily
