A standard aero (225bhp) would probably hit 150mph (I think the official listing is 149) but you would be pretty lucky to get an Aero for £2000. Which is a shame as I would get one in a second.

My 2.3T (200bhp) has seen 140 with shorter gearing than the Aero.

Wow, some nice examples! Just shows how fast you can go for a couple grand these days. By the way, that performance zone website lists all the cars that can go above 150mph as below. However, it seems to be mostly newish cars so we could be fighting for hours on who's actually won!
