The latest estimate to repair this so called scratch is now £650-700.
This includes a new alloy and a an aluminium suspension arm(holds the suspension steady to the chassis underneath,(unless you hit a curb that is)).
Oh and 1.5 hrs labour to set the suspension.

I did ask why a rally bred car bends so easily.Apparently because the suspension is so stiff and there is no give in the low profile tyres.etc etc.

Ummmmmmmmmmm.

Well ,I thought I would give you the final chapter in this saga.Had a new alloy fitted as well as the suspension arm.(£550 in total includes 10%discount),but the service bloke gives me the keys and says"it still pulls to the left and your steering wheel is cockeyed",he thens advises me to take it to a garage down the road to get a 4 wheel alignment done on it.
This is a main Subaru dealer by the way!!!!

Kin Pi**ed off to say the least. What sort of service is that.!!!!!!!
Any how I phoned a different dealer who I purchased the car off originally(hes just further away). They could not understand why I had been given the car back in that state. They said bring it over and they would sort it for me.
Did this on Sat morning and they did geometry checks and told me it was out(did not say how much). They then put it right for me and it feels like it did when I bought it .Result.
Took a while to resolve but thats down to a crap service dept at my local dealer(an ex service dept I might add!!)
I can still not beleive they gave it me back in that condition.Anyway lesson learned.
I did at one point think it was seriously beyond being right again, even though it had only had a slight knock.
Wont bore you with this anymore.Goodday!!
