To me helpful is not your aim! "***** size type Thread thing" your only aim is to get a high post count also linking it to another WEB Site also may ring your Bell.
Sorry but you and your Thread seem as genuine as Batman

Is this the cr@p drivers anonymous thread?
My name is Bubba and I'm cr@p at driving. I have been skill-free for forty-two years, now. (One day at a timmmmmeee swede Jeeeezusssssssss)
Can I just say that if I ever heard the tyres squeal on my car I believe I'd spontaneously defaecate? I think my new(ish) brake pads will outlast pslewis's discs.
PS. I think more of us should show ourselves! A bit more humility would be most welcome on this site.
I still don't think you can learn how to be a fast driver for nowt, though. Sorry.

your not really helping here are you, a less experienced driver in a french peice of clutter is slow but a less experienced driver in a fast car is faster still, just as long as you have fun does it really matter!
also my dad is bigger than yours etc etc etc...........

No seriously, I do take your point in what you are saying. I'm sure the wife won't like me saying this - when we do a quarter mile drag day, I repeatedly get nearly one second faster than she does in the same car.
I think Subaru should offer free trackdays/advanced driving days for purchasers of new performance cars - it may help some of us become better drivers.

sadly learning to drive costs money
ive been on airfield training days at 150 quid a pop, wear and tear another 50 quid
plus petrol is quite expensive these day
trackdays are probabaly a good way of learning, but again they are harldy cheap
very good investments though

As far as 'Contenssious' surely the whole point of a forum is to discuss and debate topics with other like minded individuals. The idea of passing on help and information is also relevant but to other threads. Politicians debate things all the time and offer no help whatsoever to anybody, ever....
My ***** size has nothing to do with debate, Subarus or driving techniques, I am very happy with it, and so is my wife, besides after buyong an Impreza I cannot afford the enlargement process anymore.
High post counts are good, informed debate is better...

Proves the point though, you can enjoy motorsport for little money and skill has a far more important roll to play when trying to sqeeze that last tenth of a second off your lap time

1. Improved track driving skills will do nothing but reduce the number of times the clock goes round between the starting point and the finishing point on a track. A noble enough goal.
2. Increasing power heightens the sensation of my internal organs being "sieved" through the back of my seat when I put my foot down. A different noble enough goal.
1. = Not my bag
2. = My bag
Different 'Snetters,' as you call them, want different things, your post whilst valid for some, quite probably the minority on SN, is not valid for others.
Professional drag racers don't throw themselves into the sport because driving in a straight line is easy (as you intimated in an earlier post.)
It would appear that you have misunderstood the fundamental fact that not everyone, indeed possibly the majority, has the same goals as you (A fact that a certain German bloke with the initialls AH also missed in the early part of the 20th Century !)
