Does your nerdness know no bounds?
Doctor Who was important for the BBC, doesn't make it good though. The model T was important for the motor industry, does that make it good contemporarily?
Radiophonic workshop? Come on! A load of beardies making odd sounds with pieces of wire.
And you think Dr Who is mentally demanding? Jeez, you must have an IQ of 3!
Geezer

FYI the radiophonic workshop are regarded as some of the pioneers of electronic music and sound effects by most in the industry today.
To use your appallingly poor car analogy (perhaps you'll be able to follow then) the new series of DoctorWho could be likened to the best of Fords modern day output which of course would never have existed without the seminal Model T.
Just noticed your location "North Wales", it explains a lot.

For someone who is propsing that they are a DoctorWho fan, and claiming that the tv series is going to be the seminal work of the BBC in the last god knows how many years, I find it strange that you not only downloaded a copy of the episode yourself, but are also undermining the work of the BBC by telling everyone where to get an illegal copy of the show from.
I'd suggest you ask the question again after the first show has aired, when I'm sure those people who have the remotest interest in a television series designed for the under 10's will offer you their opinions on whether the show is worth the licence fee money or not.

I was never a big fan of anything other than Tom Baker as Dr Who but this seems like a refreshing change.
Not saying that he wasn't a good Doctor Who, but as a human being I found him sadly lacking.
Mr Pertwee IMHO was the Doctor
PS Echo 100% what Dave A said above

Wrong wrong and wrong again. I told you I visited the future in my TARDIS in order to watch it.
Someone asked how a normal mortal could watch it and being a kind chap I told them. Thanks for the input thread wise but if you haven't yet seen it can I suggest you stay out of the debate until the BBC air it.
I'm interested to know if anyone else liked it because I abhore everything Dr Who wise post Tom Baker apart from this. That ginger haired bint should have been drowned on set.

re: Tom Baker I've met him as well, I was 6 at the time and I was introduced to him rather than being some little ****** hassling him in the street he was really rather sweet to me.
Even pretended to look for some jelly babies for me. Perhaps he just didn't like you?

Have to admit that if I was in a studio with 15 children I'd probably be rude to them as well. That's quite reasonable.
However introduced to him in the correct social context Tom Baker was a lovely chap.

I'll quote him at ths point :
I can't see why children are scared of the Daleks, it really is pathetic. I mean, who would be frightened of monsters who can't even climb downstairs.
Q) Doctor Who, Is the Tardis really bigger on the inside than it is on the outside ?
A) Don't be stupid, of course it isn't
Good way to treat an audience mad up of kids

Ahhh I see you'd prefer it if he patronised them?
There is a Santa Claus, everyone in the world is a nice person and the tooth fairy comes when your stick your rotten old teeth under the pillow.
Sounds ******* awful, tell the little *******s the truth and make them suffer like the rest of us.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Is that the new star wars film? I don't like them the only really decent Star Wars movie was 'Empire Strikes Back' although I do have a soft spot for the first film for sentimental reasons.
Is it just me or is Ewan McGregor just an annoying jock who can't act?
No it isn't just me it's official he's a tw@t who can't act.
