Id refer you to my original post; Dr Who was ok at the time but irrespective of the production values applied in this new series the proposition is weak isnt it? Darleks; Cybermen a female assistant, whether empowered or not. It was a product of its time but times have changed.

We may have moved on but certain things are timeless. I contend that this is one of them. As you haven't seen it you can't comment can you?

Anyway I wouldn't advise anyone to obtain this through foul means. Either evolve and develop time travel or talk to a nice friend in the BBC.

Either way with so many people on this site I'm sure someone will have seen it, thus BTTT.

Well, it's been up for 3 days and no has answered, so either no one has seen it or no one gives a ****.

Probably a combination of both.

I'm sure that when it does air, it will be BTTT'd anyway, and I seriously doubt it will be in the positive.

What will you do then? Throw a hissy fit because no one loves your beloved piece of sci-fi trash?

Oddly enough my old account DoctorWho doesn't seem to work anymore. I wonder what happened? Anyway not a problem, I'm not trying to build up a mega post count, that's for sad cases.

Anyhow back on topic when people have seen it I'm positive they will only have good things to say about it. If they don't I'll be interested to know why.
In some cases they may well have some valid reasons, in others it will no doubt highlight their lack of intelligence, eh geezer?

You need to be more careful keeping track of all your usenames and passwords, otherwise accidents like this are bound to happen.

I won't go into why that isn't likely but I can assure you that I know exactly what the password was. Caps lock isn't on either
Someone has either changed it or there is a system error of some kind.

So have you seen it then ajm? As you are such a fan of the series I'd have thought you would.

Why don't you use the retrieve password feature, assuming of course that you can remember the username and password for the free anonymous email account that you no doubt used to sign up?

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/login.php?do=lostpw

Oh, and of course I havn't seen the new episode. I may or may not watch it when it airs in 2 weeks time, so ask me then.

You don't fool me, of course you're champing at the bit to watch it. Rest assured you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for the password tip, it doesn't work though. Wonder if accounts do get deleted here after all.

Hey, I just saw a teaser for it on BBC1

Looks crap, like they used all the digital effects from the 'My First Book Of Digital Effects' book.

If that represents the 'the most significant piece of science fiction the BBC have attempted in recent years and the most ambitious.' then it's a pretty sad reflection on them.

Or maybe the acting is amazing? lol.

Oh UB, you've done it now! You have dared to disagree with our petulant little geek!

You will now be labelled

unintelligent,
impotent,
ill informed,
fat,
old,
etc ad infinitum

Do you think she has got the message that she is in the minority yet?

I don't see why?

I have replied 'on topic' to the subject of the thread, and given my opinion.

What could possibly be the problem??

Well I'd like to have replied with the other account but that one has been mysteriously disabled as well. The work of the master no doubt!

Anyway you can't make a judgement based on the teasers, I think you'll also find I did say it was a bit cheesy. When you've seen it you can comment until then.

I won't have any problem at all with constructive criticism, assuming you've actually seen it.

Oh I seriously doubt that, you have had a huge problem with no one pandering to your view that the old Dr Who was the best thing since sliced bread, God knows what you'll be like when everyone doesn't agree with you on this!

This is a complete farce.... why don't you just bite the bullet and use your NACRO account... at least we know that works!

Failing that then I suppose TORQUEamada will have to do....

I didn't say the old series of Doctor Who was the best thing since sliced bread. What I did say is that only a dolt would be unable to appreciate its influence on popular culture.

On to the next question posed by ajm, if I was the user of the NACRO account, I think you'll find the password was changed on that similarly to these Doctor Who accounts, around the time of "connorgate".

Guess that makes me a dolt then!

An example of this influence would be what exactly? The fact that everyone now has a Robot Dog? The recent re-introduction of police telephone boxes? The trend for wearing long scarves?

Doctor Who : low budget tv for low brow viewers.

Nope. Any accounts I may or may not have had here have had the password changed and email address reset by persons unknown. I' d advise people to be careful about what they say or where else on the net they have been spending time (you know where I mean ). If 'they' find out your precious post counts could go out of the window. Never cared about notching up numbers myself, it seems a bit like chalking up the days on your prison wall.

Well suresh perhaps it does. As I stated earlier the radiophonic/grainer/derbyshires theme music and effects are accepted throughout the industry as being groundbreaking and influencial.

Also DoctorWho was a pioneer of tie in/marketing along with Thunderbirds etc.

The word Dalek also appears in the dictionary.

There are many other examples of this penetration into the collective consciousness. If you can't see it then wear the pointy hat and go and sit in the corner.

You don't have to like it, but you cannot ignore the facts.

If indeed this is true, and you havn't been playing silly buggers with your accounts (as if ), then someone clearly has it in for you. Obviously all that trolling and unpleasantness has taken it's toll.

Well it would if it wasn't a 30 second job to re-register another account. It's possible that this could happen to others, don't say I didn't warn you. How would you feel if someone hijacked your account and started supporting the hunting ban?

What would your next user name be ajm? jam, mja or something simple like alex?

lol@jye I've been 'normal' all along in the other user name running concurrently to the others over the past 4yrs or whatever it is now.
The good Doctor here is really just to discuss the new series some people seem to be determined to drag me off topic though. Can't understand what is to be achieved by disabling an account without an IP ban though.

Do try to get your edit in under the wire jye, or it makes you look stupid.
