The last one has taken more than i'd like to think, probably about 20 Solid hours at least , I'm going to stick to the simpler ones for the time being i think!

Avi,
Also have a look on eBay under Art. There are quite a few people with their own shops doing self-promotion sales.
You work looks up to the quality and styl of the Urban Arts collective. Most of their originals go for over £100 a pop.
Cheers
Ian

Got some more pics of my Goodfellas one's including a mock up because my Room looked a right mess in the real photo . I might actually think about doing some of these to sell if there is enough interest.
Also, any other suggestions of suitable subjects are welcome.. need some inspiration people

They are superb, any tips on how to do them I would quite like a go at them. PM if preferred.
How about doing some game characters. Plenty of console gamers on here, so how about GTA, Timesplitters, MGS, Resident Evil etc.
Or just more film characters.

Then get your local printers to print the outlines (very feint pencil-like lines) onto canvas (yes they can do this and yes it's pretty reasonably priced - £20 for a 36" x 24" for me). Then use the colour guide on PhotoShop to select the exact colours you'll need (use the Pantone scale for accuracy) and then buy acrylics of the right colours.
If you do the PS work right, you should only end up with 4 or 5 colours - less for something like the Goodfellas ones above by Avi.
Then buy a simple stretcher (frame) and stretch the canvas over it and staple or pin into place tightly.
Then paint your design on and hey presto! One very expensive looking painting for under £25 if you pay for your printing and frames in bulk (usually 10 orders should do it)

Avi, they're good
Sell them to greetings cards or posters publishers. Get them seen around and you'll get commissions, especially if you can work from a photograph.
Do not sign away your copyright. Email me if you want advice on this.
On the same theme, are some of these images identifiable as copies of another artwork, image, photograph or whatever? In which case, you might have breached somebody else's copyright. That's probably not a problem if you're just selling a few to mates etc, but if you start scaling up and sell multiple copies, you could get some expensive flack. Again, email richard.hopkins@emap.com if you want advice on this.
Good luck,
Richard.

I did a few of these and they do look pretty cool, I cheated though.
Used a paintshop filter to change the image into 3 or 4 colours and simplify the edges, then overlayed a grid, and copied it square by square onto a canvas.
Also tried printing a few and tracing through the canvas.
You end up with a perfect copy and it takes no time at all.
To do that freehand takes some skill, I'm very impressed!

My sister did some pop art by cutting out a load of circles to form dots like old newspaper print.

I'm going to start having a go at some more "unique" ones, and one off's , so if anyone has any requests ...
For the time being i've stuck a "U2 - Bono" one on ebay HERE to see if there's much interest. I think the scarface ones would be the better ones to fo if i were to try and make some cash from it, allthough not a lot by the looks of it!

Good luck Avi, and get some more on Ebay see how it goes.
If any come up that i'm interested in I'll be bidding!!
You should serisouly consider setting it up as a business.
