There is a guy selling a sti 4 on here and he is having to brake it as he cant get a model report, I never realised it was such a problem. When i bought the limo i had to get some work done on it rear fog, side repeaters orange rear indercators etc and when the work was done i took it for an MOT and regestered it at cardiff, easy, but i did have that all important piece of paper saying what is was i guess this must have been the model report.

sorry to here that nws i was hoping it was going to be a goodun for you.there was a bloke on snet that could get sva's done but i dont know if its lagdit or not might be worth looking into,and mdb imports if you go on there web site say they can get model reports and do sva's check it out you never know.

The key thing is the SVA. On the newer regulations it isn't the standard stuff but the emissions that kills cars coming over. I would suggest having a chat with powerstation as they do all of Litchfields SVA tests so they have a good wealth of knowledge on which you can draw.
Pretty sure it is almost impossible on a STI6 though.

he reconed he had a contact in bristol that could bo the sva for me but would get the number AFTER i bought the car ??????

Gaz mate. You need to make a condition of the sale that the car passes the SVA without any undue expense. ie Emissions failures etc (which are normal) are fine, but you want a certifacate of roadworthiness from the seller. Basically mate, if he can guarantee against failures for cut and shut issues, bad repairs, oil leaks etc then you have a good deal. Find out what sort of a warranty he will offer for mechanicals etc as well.

I'm not 100% sure but Doesn't the car have to be put to standard for the ESVA test. atleast that way you could bin the DTM exhaust, can't see it failing for the stickers but if ever you needed a reason onder2:

twigs right if this is the car you want get a condition of sale,put the ball in his court and see if he wants to play.where theres a will theres a way.if you want it bad enough you will get it.
