Scumwalks free from court after admitting 234 car crimes

Every call I go to nowadays I send people to sleep with what's wrong with the justice system in this country.
Unfortunately I am just a minnow.
What I do know is that if the Government gave us a free run at cutting crime in this country without too many questions asked and none of this stupid red tape crap which stops us using surveillance and stuff. We could cut crime in a year by 50% or more

Sadly for us (the police) the public see us as the face of the Criminal Justice System...bloody courts are a nightmare.
I arrested a drunk on New Years....it became the twentieth time he was convicted for either Sec5 or drunk and disorderly. He is an alcoholic and homeless....anyone want to guess what the courts did......conditional discharge....a feckin' conditional discharge!!!!!
All the governement need do is build a good few more prisons, maybe in high crime, high unemployment areas (creates good jobs)....okay the cost to the tax payer would be high to start with, but in the long term it costs less to maintain them and feed all the prisoners then it does to run around keep arresting them and letting them go, i'm sure of it, and what price public reassurance and confidence, which is of course a ministerial priority.
Nathan, perhaps you should get the CC of Nottinghamshire to be your Home Secretary!!!

Agreed wrxpete and nathan, i'm so sick to death of this f*cking country that I'm looking to move aboard - china
Anyway, I like anyone else has on at least one occasion said 'wish the police would catch real crim rather than picking on us poor motorists' but now I think about it it kinda starts to make sence in a perverse sort of way which can be applicable to some (not all) police officers.
I think with the way out ****ty justice system just lets car theives and druggies and burgalars off the hook with a slap on the wrist and a fine (which i doubt they pay in most cases, and if it is paid it's probably with f*cking drug money FFS). I'll bet most police get really hacked off with arresting the same old people time and time again, spending time and hard work collecting evidence only for the courts to slap em on the wrist and don't do it again.
As the courts seems so happy to let real criminals go but come down hard of motorists (as they know they will pay up as we are mostly good honest law abiding people) that here is where the perverse twist rears it's ugly head, Police are now so fed up with seeing these people get off time and time again perhaps they are at the point of considering it not worth the time and effort, so they target the motorists for speeding etc, and know there is a better chance they will get a good result.
Now for those of you who are coppers on this board, don't get me wrong, I admit i feel like most people and that alot of police are out to catch the law abiding motorists, that is what I disagree with. make no mistake, I am all for you guys throwing the book at people who drive without insurance, tax, MOT's, defective cars etc, thats different and that is a POSSITIVE thing for you guys to do, as it's no so much the people who speed by 5 or 10 mph on occasion who put our insurance premiums up, it's the scum who drive about in deffective and dangerous cars, without insurace and MOT and tax etc, <-- whats what I feel traffic police should be doing, not concentrating on the people who speed every now and then, again don't get me wrong. There is certainly a difference between someone doing 5 or 10 mph over the limit and someone taking the complete **** and just doing whatever speed they like and think they are an F1 driver!!!
Onto the prisions, Well, For a start they should take away all the luxuries, Fair enough give them the oppertunity to better themselves with education, but ffs at the moment prisons are more like enclosed holiday resorts!!! A prison should be just that, a PRISON!!!! and I think many will agree, although it would cost alot of money to build more prisons, if in the long term it saves us all money from lower insurance premiums etc, and a much more harsher warning to would be theives, I can't see too many people complaining about paying a little extra towards it. Of course it would help if the government would spend money on this kind of thing instead of wasting it on stupid things like free dental care to asylum seekers and wars in other countries.
Another vote for nathan!!!!
Lock the F*ckers up (That includes blair and his croons!!!)

Not that I am trying to generate votes in the upcoming election
I personally would do away with all speed scameras.
This might not be popular with some, but in their place more traffic police. Who can target ALL traffic offences, no ins, disqual, drink drivers, drug drivers, dangerous condition etc.

That's a vote winner Nath'! Lets keep the cams for where people live though but away from the open road.
Another option is if NO-ONE breaks the limits for 2yrs and then all the back slapping camera quangos would go bust!!!! I so wish they'd fund REAL policing with their profits rather than more of their own. An uninsured driver is proven statistically several billion times more likely to have an accident than someone who's a few mph over a limit after all...
Where do I put my X ?

Another vote for Nathan here.
Incidentally, instead of this vast amount of aid Blair is contemplating giving to Africa, I think they should earn some of it by taking our prisoners. Six months in a Namibian jail might make people think twice about re-offending...

We should be able to use prisoners to do useful tasks, like build new prisons. Preferably one's with big vegetable gardens so I don't have to pay for their dinner.

My niece and her boy friend worked for East Sussex (Eastbourne)police but left for Australia yesterday.
They were sick to death of catching criminals and then watching these criminals be set free by the courts so they've joined the Melbourne police because they give you guns
