Had the front end of my classic scoob stolen of its crystal headlights, sidelights, grille, indicators 3 bloody times, got sick and tired of it and sold it 3 months ago, had another car in the meantime which wasnt a scoob and got bored, now im back to scooby ownership with a MY04 WRX, fingers crossed nothing happens to this one.

I too have just voted nothing to report, however my Scoob only did 1000 miles in the last year, and never tend to leave it anywhere.
At home, out of site out of mind, but not in a garage, if I had to leave my car outside or at the front of the house, I'de sell it & buy a Landrover & reduce the risk, still has a big turbo & is 4-wheel drive, plus you can see over hedges & around corners.....

So far 70% of Scoobies have had nothing to report.
Not as bad as I thought.
I just want to say that the Scooby is the only car that I have owned that has had no problems, I had 2 Fords stolen, a Renault damaged, a Mitsy dented, BMW radio robbed, Mercedes keyed.
I hope i'm not tempting fate
I need more votes to get an accurate result, thanks so far.

I've been off Scoobynet for a few days and I am disapointed at the lack of input on this thread.
Maybe people don't want to know if the Scoob is/is not a high risk car to own.

Nothing happened to either my WRX PPP (1 year old) or my wifes' Forrester (2 years old). Both parked on drive overnight and I have to park in a pay and display when I go into the office. Had more problems with old Rover 216 with tax disk nicked by smashing side window, and going way, way, way back with a Renault 4 where the radio was nicked! Why, oh why, would anybody ever want the radio from a Renault 4?

dads turbo was carjacked at home by men with a baseball bat
alos was broken into and damaged in separate incident at a car park. alot of damage to ignition
my exturbo has had attempted break in
did a fair amount of damage to door and lock
wouldnt be put off from owning anther one though
(never had any problem with my 3 previously owned cars)
BTW the area isnt that downmarket really. It all happened around Bury/Manchester

I have ticked - Impreza Classic - Damaged Car or Stolen Parts, the car was heavily keyed on three panels, but have also had my house broken into in an attempt to steal my Scoob, luckily my MY98 was all that was outside, the WR1 was in my parents garage over 90 miles away......

Need to change my vote
Somebody decided to make a dent in the drivers door today - looks like they've kicked it... They've made a slight cratch - have to see about getting it repaired.
(Car was a new age Impreza STi)
