yeah she is going back tomorrow, i also told 'em she is not going to be eating the crap skool dinners, but she is not allowed to take a packed lunck as some kids have allergies, and they swap their foods (looks like ive started another arguement) .
i said i will cook her food at home... but they are not allowed to deal with individuual dietry needs
i said i wouldnt take her to skool if she is not allowed to eat a healthy dinner...the head wants too see me in the morning

You wait til they close at Easter and expect you to both pay for your childs care elsewhere (as us adults don't have a week off) AND exepect you to pay them for the week your kid isn't even there.

All to do with signingh some "50 week" agreement at the begining of term..

Our Primary School has a policy which is based on guidelines from the LEA. Children who have been sick/diahorrea can only return to school 48 hours from ther last bout of sickness/diahorrea. Just as we reduced it down to 24 hrs, the LEA changed their minds and put it back to 48 hrs. I know that may sound harsh but the amount of parents that send their kids back to school to early really does have an effect on other children within the school.

I don't agree with them turning you away this morning if like you said she hadn't even been sick/had diahorrea. As long as she was fine and you were happy she was fit, then she should have been allowed back to nursery.

As for knits, some parents seem to think that treating the hair once is ok and then wonder why they keep returning. Half the time they haven't got rid of them in the first place. You need to treat it and keep combing them out every day until you have got all the little buggers and the eggs, it can take a while to get rid totally.

Fuzz, blimey if that is true what you are saying, how things have changed since mine were at Pre-school, they surely can not charge you if they are not willing to open and provide the service. And what about the voucher system, is that not still around to help pay towards nursery/pre-schools??

See, my daughter is 6 and she goes to school - off on holiday this week and next for Easter.

Her school don't provide dinners, I have to send a packed lunch. The kids are told not to share and don't. Why can't any other schools enforce this?

School dinners are ****e. I would make a stand!

If your daughter is 4 and half, does she attend a nursery or a infant/primary school? Is she one of these that just missed out on school as she has a Sept/Oct birthday??

she never had a tummy upset just an ache, had an arguement with the head....and lost

is this the same for all skools?
My wife is a teacher and is constantly coming down with sickness and illness because inconsiderate parents return there children to early after being ill. I am then also ill because i catch it off my wife which ends up costing me wages and the goverment lost taxs on those wages. Schools are for educating children not day care for sick children......whats 24hrs in the grand scheme of things.

Oh, Hollie never went to pre-school. She went from day nursery (paid for) straight to school (reception).

Can't really comment further!

Pre-schools have changed quite a bit since mine went there then, they never even used to stay for lunch. Yes your daughter will start in Reception class in Sept.

Agree with the chap who's wife is a teacher. I work in a school, luckily in the office away from the germs, but the sickness amongst out stafff since September has been horrendous, I have never seen so much sickness. Children/staff do need to stay away until they are 100% fit to return otherwise the bugs keep doing the rounds
