Jaguar S-Type 'R'

Yes normal nonsense.
I've got a similar though slightly less powerful car,a C32 AMG ( about 350 BHP,340lb/ft). In kickdown a std WRX would NOT be able to keep up, the car will hit 100mph whilst the WRX driver is fluffing a gear change and adjusting his baseball cap.
I'm not saying its a better car but in terms of straight line speed you'll need a modded STi and a slick gear change to keep up with a 350-400 bhp automatic car( even if they weigh about 200kgs more)

Is it to let the good people of SN know, that infact it is your tinklepipe that is the largest?
You have one damn nice vehicle, one of the finest sports cars ever made infact. But as a Porsche driver myself, I cringe when I read these comments.

I owned one a Jag S Type R for a while. I'd always wanted one - then I saw that used ones had just come into my price range. I had black with 2 tone leather - fully loaded.
The car was amazing - yes it was fast, but it was the ease and smoothness that it delivered the performance that really impresses. The 6 speed auto (no manual option on the R) was incredibly smooth - and as for the sound of the supercharger....
I got rid of it simply because it bored me stupid in the end and although, yes, it was better round the bends than a standard R, it was still ultimately a motorway cruiser . I changed it for a JDM STi8!!!

To Deep Singh, the man with a metal **** and a crazy pikey????
I was under the total illusion that scoobynet was a place to visit, hang out have a laugh and in between that enter in some serious debates and get constructive views.
Once again I am proved totally wrong, I take your comments on board and
yes i'm still elated about the car
yes I can't stop telling people and shouting about it
yes I can't stop grinning
yes I look like ive swallowed a coat hanger
however by the sounds of it some "porsche" owners cringe when I make comments WTF who gives a Sh)t? I certainly don't!!
and what the hell does a tinklepipe have to do with anything..... come on people if you're going to disagree at least try to do it thoughfully not using typical schoolyard mentality.

Hawk, I love to talk about performance cars of any kind. A 550 BHP Porker aswell. Its just when the thread was talking about a WRX compared to a supercharged automatic super saloon I'm not qite sure how a 550 BHP Ruf Turbo came into it. Nobody said the WRX was faster than a Ruf Porsche. Were you on the sherry?
