I needed a 2nd car for the winter as the STi doesn't have a lot of clearance for heavy snowfalls - last two winters it's only got halfway up the drive before bottoming out.
Started off looking at sensible cars but what did I buy.........a GTB - there's no hope for me really

I fall in the No1 group!, but with motor traders insurance, i only need one policy for the scooby, and my trusty astra diesel estate work horse!

Can I add a number (3) to the list as I dont fit the first to?!
As somone may have already said.
3, I have a 60 pound F reg Pop Plus fiesta that I drive when ever I get the erge to go out and spend more cash to make the Evo even faster

After driving the Pup Plus for a day or so the Evo feels like the fastest car on the road

ohh yeah, also a good back up car for when the Evo's being worked on.

Only have the one car - Scoob
Used to have to drive to a train station, and generally got me down and bored. Now I have moved house nearer the station so only use the car at weekends and the smile is broad as you like!! (Blitz exhaust may have helped)!!

I sort of cover all of the above, plus I can take my 2nd car (1.6 Pug 205 GTI) out on track whenever I like and not too bothered if I crash it or make the engine go pop

If my STi had 7 seats i wouldn't need a second car !! but alas some of us have got a family of 6 to lug around !
And it is nice to jump into the scoob for a wee blast

I use my '98S WRX as the everyday 'family car' and the '99T STI 5 Type RA V LTD when i'm on my own, my missus uses the wrx for the kids etc, but we don't do many miles, its about 5 miles to the school and supermarket and its only 8 miles to work, so the STI 5 is perfect for an extra 20 minutes in bed and still get to work on time!!
