Passed in 87

1. 85 Austin Maestro 1.3 - Passed test in this car. Bright Red but ended up 3 months later wrapping it up the rear end of brand new BMW 3 Series whilst on holiday in Cornwall.
2.86 Vauhall Cavalier 1.6 - Advert for Vauxhall at the time said all their cars can be converted to Unleaded....Did mine had to use Lead sub every 3 fill ups...soon forgot about that and bye bye Piston Rings.
3. 86 1.8 Granada GL - Moved like a tank...decided to part ex once I saw lots of Black Smoke coming from Exhaust.
4. 90 2.0i Ghia Sierra - Went like **** off a shovel...Problem was I got it almost new and was costing an arm and a leg plus various other body bits on finance. Car got bit neglected ( Cambelt went at 69k)..re-con engine cost £500 finally got rid after 1st wife left
5. 90 2.9i Ghia X Granada - High Miles but lovely car with all toys. Bl@@dy thirsty though.
6. 95 2.0i Vectra CDX - Moment of Madness - much better now though.
7. 97 ST24 Mondeo - Frightened the crap out of me when first got it....Damn Gearbox went in heavy traffic almost Gridlocked Bath.
8. 99 ST24 Mondeo - Full RS Bodykit , Very low mileage , Damn Gearbox went on way to work one morning....luckily no traffic around this time.
9. 99 Mica Blue Turbo - High Miles but love to pieces even though 2 prats have hit it so far....Only got Prodrive BackBox and Forge Dump Valve so far but once wifey passes her test it will be hers and then be looking for a Bigger Scooby for Bigger Grins.

Passed my test in 2000 aged 17, since then i have had:

1 Vauxhall Nova (B Plate) At age 17
2 Renault 5 (F Plate) At age 17
3 Peugeot 106 (S Plate) At age 18
4 Citroen Saxo VTR (02 Plate) At age 19

1. Talbot Sunbeam 1.3, W - reg (at 17yrs) - 9hours after I passed my test, was in a ditch on it's side, scared the cr4p out of me lol. Took the dents out and was fine for the next year!

2. Vauxhall Astra 1.3, D - reg (at 18 yrs) - Changed the 4-speed box for a 5-speed (waste of time, but was fun to do), alloy's, spoiler, stereo etc...

3. Vauxhall Astra GTE 2.0, G reg (at 19 yrs) - Loved that car, went EVERYWHERE in it, France, Devon, Newcastle etc... got it with 68K on the clock and it was absolutely mint, kept it 4 1/2 yrs with 138k and didnt miss a beat, even though it got ragged to death everytime it started went through 2 clutch cables, hundreds of front tyres and countless rear arch rebuilds (VERY rusty cars!!!).

4. Land Rover Series 3 SWB 2.25 (at 20 yrs) - The most fun you can have with BIG wheels!!! Bought it for off-roading whilst having the GTE. Loads of mod's, 7.50 mud pluggers, soft top, 2" suspension lift, gearbox, Range Rover diff's, chequer plate etc... Was amazing off-road, and great fun on road, no one in their right mind would cut me up lol. Had it on it's side a few times...GREAT FUN!!! Went Southend cruising with 4 mates and the roof off one summer, everyone slowing down for the slow bumps........I had the front wheels jumping off the floor

5. BMW 320i, L reg (at 24 yrs) - Part Ex'd the GTE for this, was a 4-door with split rims and shiny M bits, lovely car, great fun going sideways, loads of torque for a 2L, but got bored after 10 months and Part Ex'd it for.............

6. Scooby WRX 2002, 52 reg, (at 25 yrs) - current car, first brand new car I have ever bought (and probably last due to depreciation). Love this thing, spent around £4k on it so far. Picked it up at 10am, put ribbons on it, and went to my friends wedding at 11am, 6 miles on the clock and got more looks than the wedding car!!! Looks very different now - PFF7's, Eibachs, dump valve, full-decat, spoiler, lights front and rear, EcuTEK3, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on.........

Thought about selling it a few times, 27 now and need to grow up........ but I'm a member of the Essex Scooby Club, just can't let the side down (well, thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it )

1. Company Vauxhall Astra 1.4 LS 'L' Reg (75k on the clock when given to me).. fastest thing I'd driven at the time. Been abused by previous owner so always broke down. 17yrs

2. Company Rover 420i R reg (12k on the clock when i got it).. even faster. Drank fuel, until they started issuing fuel cards which helped! 19yrs

2a. Discovered motorbikes as a sideline

3. Private Astra 1.7LS Tdi Isuzu engine 'L' reg. Started new job, needed something cheap to insure and help build up that NCB. Took it from 135k to 155k. Top motor. 20yrs

4. Toyota MR2 2.0 Gti UK 'M' reg in red . Loved this car, ultra reliable, solid, good handling (in dry). Took it from 69k - 110k. 21yrs

5. Impreza WRX03 current. Bought new (although i said i'd never do so). I wanted 4 wheel drive and turbo so this was the obvious choice for my budget. NEVER LOOKED BACK. 25yrs

Fancy a convertible next but can't bring myself to chop the roof off

All since passing test November 1994

1995 Landrover series 1 (1967)- 3 inch steel 'I' beam for the front bumper - saw me through college

1995 Citroen AX 1.5 diesel. Bought new as they came with free insurance. Loaded it up with all sorts of ****e quality ICE. Had this for 15 months and wanted something quicker

1997 Traded in the AX for a Saxo VTR - the first one to be registered as a private sale on UK roads. Loaded this thing up with proper ICE and started on the modified car show scene. Ran this for 2 years to the day.

1999 Decided I didn't want a car loan anymore so part exchanged (cash to me) for a 1989 Peugeot 309 GTi. Absolutely love this car ran it for 2 and a bit years and won loads of concourse trophies in both standard initially then modified class after the Mi16 transplant. This car is still doing the show rounds. Also got a feature in Revs (Aug 1999)

2001 swapped the 309 for a 205 turbo technics. Fast little thing when it went but blew up as often as I farted. Spent £9k on it in 2 years and sold it for little more than I paid for it. Again loads of show wins and magazine appearances but did less that 1000 miles in 2 years!!!

2000 -2003 a mix and match owning at least 2 of the following at any one time
2 x 205 1.9gti, F plate and H plate
1 x 405 Mi16, F plate with peugeot sport blue printed engine that eventually went into one of the above 205's
1 x audi coupe 2.2 5 cylinder GT F plate
1 x audi coupe 2.2 5 cylinder quattro D plate
1 x audi WR quattro Y plate. The quickest thing I have owned
1 x sierra cosworth sapphire 2wd. No 2 panels were the same colour under the top coat of paint. Absolute shed
1 x audi coupe (new shape) G plate. Traded in for the scooby

2002 - back into new motors with a leased bugeye WRX. Kept it for 14 months then sent it back due to having just bought another house, rediculous insurance costs, new dog and the number going missing

2003 - 1993 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Ltd to carry stuff and have a bit of offroad fun. Ran it for 8 months then got bored so sold it on scoobynet. Currently for sale again on scoobynet.

2004 - 1997 Audi A4 1.8T sport. Great car but decided that I wanted bigger again

2005 Nissan Navara pickup(2002). F'king great, carrys all my stuff, the dog, goes off road and will come in useful for the new tree surgery business. Also looking for a move into the lakes/dales to set up a new business/home so will be used and abused
