Simple fact is, that the ONLY people who know what really happened are the people who were involved.

A. The Scooby driver (RIP)

B. The police who stopped him.

The rest is pure speculation, and as such will most likely never come out!

IMHO

Yeah as a matter of fact I have on several occasions and I can guarantee that there will be other members on this Subaru Forum who have also experienced this sort of tactic. What exactly is the point of your reply - you obviously do not have anything constructive to add to this topic so you choose to (attempt) pick apart someone else's post yet you have no substance other than.. 'Haven't We???'

10/10 for an extremely thoughtful reply.

My point is you make it sound commonplace.

I've been driving for over 10 years, in (until recently) a range of modded cars, and I average over 30k a year all over the UK and europe (hence ditching a scoob for a tdi recently) and I have a wide circle of friends across the modding scene and also motorsport, and I while I have seen some crazy ****, I have never seen, or never heard, of the kind of thing you are suggesting. I don't doubt it has happened, and I don't doubt it may happen again, but you talk about it as though its a common police 'strategy'.

You are obviously 'special'.

Or maybe you just bring out the worst in people

Is that substance enough for you? Talking of which you seem happy to talk for the rest of scoobynet by 'guaranteeing' others will have experienced this kind of behavior. Hardly 'substance' is it?

Although my guess is we will get a few keyboard terrorists who just like an argument coming on and saying the opposite now.

Gotta love forums

Yeah, full of substance that one mate, really 'adding something constructive' to the subject...

Well for one I'm not your 'mate' and I know you will cry over that fact but get used to it.

2) If his driving history is to be believed then yes I will stand by that comment as he was not only a danger to himself (as he found out) but a danger to others and if thats the quickest way to get him off the road then so be it.

Anyway Mr 'I'm sad enough to go thru this entire thread just so I can find a hole in Globalgb's comments' Edcase I bid you a good day.

Ta ta for now.

Well if we are going to post pictures in an attempt to belittle others then I can imagine you must be a real hero amongst your internet peers. No honestly, you must be.

anyway subject change, pointless arguing will get us nowhere and its demeaning this topic. you can slate me via pm's if you want.

You're funny.

You make an extremely sweeping statement, which I question.

You then have a go at me for *my* post not having any substance, and then when I point out the obvious inadequacies in your argument, you call *me* sad!!

It's all about the 'if'. All you know about his history is what somebody you have never even spoken to before has posted on a forum you've only been on a few months.

As for slating you via PM's, I really have better things to do with my time. I posted because I felt strongly about your belief that police make a habit of entrapment on our roads, you needlessly slagged me off because you didn't like being called out on a public forum, and I then pointed out what a hypocrite you are.

I think that's everything cleared up, lets see if you can be a big enough man to resist continuing this 'pointless arguing'.

Oh well, I was man enough to resist Edcase's baiting (though it was harmless fun - all good stuff) but now I have to put up with the rest of you lot who have now been sucked into something way above your heads. But you know what is really funny - the fact that you are listening to the world famous welfare claiming retard known as Rizzy.

According to you Rizzy, I created an ebay account just to question you about an "Impreza (not EVO7, EVO8)" sale - I keep forgetting that you can barely string a sentence together so therefore its safe to assume you can barely read either. Anyway, get someone to read it to you - the account I used was created in the Year 2000 (thats 'two thousand' I know you can't count past the amount usually on your benefit cheque).

Also to the other two, I was merely curious why someone questioned my statement about the police's typical behaviour (coincidentally other people actually agreed that they saw this behaviour on a regular basis) and then I have some half arsed tirade about being an internet hero? You what?

If we can not even have a debate about something whats the point of having a forum.

Anyway I respect and like Subaru's as well Evo's so I'm sorry lads but I wont be 'returning' anywhere so get used to it.

LOL PSML ROFLMAO and all that Jargon.

Rizzy, you've found some friends!

We still don't know what happened, from what I've seen in this thread.
Have none of you here ever been followed by an unknown car for a long time, the paranoia soon creeps in, you try slowing down to 40 and pulling to the left on a long straight in the hope that they'll overtake you and they dont, you take the corners at bang on the speed limit and they just floor it after the corner to catch you up, eventually you reach the point where you just want rid of the car that's following you. At this point I would start taking a retarded route and double back on myself and that gets rid of them as it's just irrational paranoia.

But what if they then follow you? No-one could possibly want to take this route so it's definate that they're after you. They either want to know where you live to nick the car later or they want to nick your car now. I'd probably freak out in that situation and want to loose them too. I'd be more likely to choose 60mph down a rabbit run than 125mph on the motorway (which is technically legal) to lose them, but it's still a high risk option, but so is letting the theiving scum follow you some more as the Scooby will probably run out of petrol first.

The fact that the police use unmarked cars and similar driving tactics to car jackers in order to secure a speeding conviction just sickens me, but I suppose both want to rob you so it makes sense.

I suspect that you're trying to insult me there; the trouble is that you are too f*cking stupid to string a coherant sentence together. Has your account been suspended on MLR; is that why you've brought your puerile ****e here?

The sooner they un-block it and you f*ck off back the better.

Warnings were issued at the start of this thread about the insults.

As the insults have persisted this thread is now closed.

My sympathies go to all affected by this.
