I have the classic Mk XV (like the one you tried on, but without the chrono bits). I found the chrono physically too thick.

Does she like the white face monaco? Looks good on white strap.

We seem to be drifting into fantasy watches here......

In that case Ill have a Rolex 'lifeswork'.

Craftsmen who build Rolex's have a 'lifeswork', like a piece they will work on ' on and off ' during their time a Rolex.

Pure 1 offs, Ill have one of those please..

True, total class.

Dont really class myself as a watch expert, but I do think that the desirable ones are changing a lot now, with franck mulle/IWC and the like becoming the more desirable models, and rolex/omega, etc becoming a bit too predictable. Just think that from looking around at the moment, certain Tag models still look ok, like the monaco's, but not all that struck on the rest of the modern one's to be honest, and certainly starting to much prefer the look of a leather strap on any watch. Poljot's look good too though.

A really nice Theo Fennell/Franck Muller model in Harrods last time I went. Ladies model, but very very nice.

Have a Breitling Aerospace that I got from someone on here. Liked it so much I've just bought another with the bracelet instead of the leather strap. One blue, one grey

Must have been the cheaper one.... i had a look (just out of curiosity) at one at jacobs on 5th avenue...was somewhere in the region of $490,000 purely for the amount of diamonds on it.madness

I think there is a big difference between a " watch " and piece of "jewellery", in my book anything diamond encrusted is jewellery....

So big watches are in are they?

Here's mine. It's only a cheapie, but I do carefully remove it when I get into the shower.
