Mods already mate?

Take a look at the offerings from Defi bit more expensive, but top quality! Got three from the BF range in my scoob! Can get some pretty good deals on these too, got mine from www.stiracing.com and there is normally some sort of group buy happening on here.

I've been offered 4k for the scoob.. which I'm finding very difficult to accept. Bottom line is I have a budget to work with and if the stealer can't fall within that budget (CTC) then I'll have to start looking around.. AGAIN !

If they could drop their price £500 or ring around and get a better P/X price for me then they'd deffo have a deal. But I guess that's just wishful thinking

Done it.. collect MY04 LCR on Sat'day Stealer didn't offer anymore for mine in the end but took original price down (to what it should have been in the first place IMO) £1.5K

Excited - but will miss the scooby I'm sure.

Now to book it into Revo for that remap

My old man popped into the Seat dealer in Edinburgh today, he had his black Cupra R with him, 2003, 40K miles......how much did he offer him as a trade in, I'll let you guess.

Anyway, they had a silver demo in with 2000 miles on it, they said they were fiving it to him at 'cost'onder2:......£17,600.

Surely there are better deals going around, anyone point him in the right direction?

At cost to who! At cost to your old mans pocket I think!!!!! I walked in 4 weeks ago, and without much hesitation, got the stealer down to 16800 on a brand spanker, any colour ordered in. Also managed full tank of fuel, Seat mats, 12 months tax, 4% finance. I then walked in to another Seat dealer, and he gave me his word that he could DEFINATELY beat that. I laid off then, as I have decided to wait until I return from my hols the beginning of June. Try more negotiating with them, cause that is NOT cost to them.

Proby.

Nice 1 SJAH555 , having loads of fun in mine ( Revo is mega), even in the wet , the only real downside I've found is trying to nip out of side turns & R'Abouts in the wet , into gaps that the scoob could easily make & all you get is a facefull of traction control warning light & rapidly decreasing gap into which you pulled out into. In the dry though , absolutely pukka & surprisingly rapid.

But I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the Scoob , I do , especially when my brother & all that are talking about the Scooby Cruises to Southend & stuff , I've even flashed at 3 scoobs since having the LCR , forgetting myself , none of them flashed back...!
Don't think people in LCR's do the acknowledgment thing , I've seen 3 Cupra's , little wave to each & nowt in return...I miss the Scoob Camaradery!

Focus RS all the way, Has the looks and performance,I Had an Integra before this and think the Focus is soooooooo much better. Wheelspin in the wet but the CTR is ten times worse.

Ta for the pointer newscottc..

..gonna have the pleasure/headache of deciding which of JMS/Revo/AMD/Oettinger to go for which will be interesting.

Hotpants - I think scooby camaraderie is second only to the 'classic' Mini's. Wanna drive the car for few months as std so can hopefully really appreciate the difference between chipped and non. Should be fun.

Collect it on Sat'day and really quite looking fwd to it now

Where abouts are you based mate?? If you want to try mine you are more than welcome, you can compare it to the APR/Revo trials then.

Cheers Mr jawa!! I have the Oettinger remap, expensive but it has the extra bonus of the warranty, it matches the Seat one.

Well picked her up yday morning..

First impressions - the looks are deffo growing on me. The LCR looks aggressive without being too angular and with the front splitter (how low !.. scuffed once already ) sitting only inches from the ground gives the car a real sense of purpose . Got almost 30mpg on a relatively spirited run upto town and back which I couldn't dream of in the scoob. Miss the rawness of the scoob a bit and of course the boxer rumble but aside from that I think I could really grow to like this car..

BTW, anyone know of somewhere I can get a set of Cupra R carpet mats ?

Sal, the splitter is only about £15-20 from Seat and takes about 5 mins to fit.

My dad bought a spare one in case the original was ripped off or badly scuffed!
