The only Golf ad i remember was when the guy was bugged by a squeeking noise in the car, then stopped at a garage and the mechanic oiled his missus earrings and the squeek stopped!!. 
That, and the other one where whats her face (was she not found to be out her face on drugs or summat later) fell out with her boyfriend and was goin to chuck the car keys down the drain, then realised she had a Golf and wanted to keep it.
