For carts-check my picture at the start of the thread mate
Ortofon concordes- DJ 'S' on the 1210, and Nightclub 'S' on the 1200s.... I swear by them- wont use anything else.
Normally nuts pitch as you describe is dirt/crap/shorting in the pitch slider.
Open it up and remove all traces of sticky stuff and give the pitch slider a good clean with some contact cleaner.
http://www.technologytransplant.com/...isassembly.htm - follow the bottom half if this to take them apart- you can clearly see the pitch control on the left.
Happens all the time in clubs when idiots dont watch their drinks.

Fair dos
-Just bought one of these- http://www.vestax.com/images/mixers/pmc46mkII_big.jpg Matches the silver quite nicely. Might need to see if i can find someone who wants to trade a 1210 for a 1200 so they all match.

can you recomend a decent mixer for around £200, mainly for beat match style mixing but also a bit of beat juggling and scratching, 2-channel would be fine... really like the stanton SA-8, bit over the price but look quality and optical fader would be nice...
dont mean to hijack the thread!

wez_sti . . . .
http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/vestax/pmc06pro
Ideal for a scratcher/juggler, but maybe not so for beat mixing.
Pehaps this: http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/numark/dxm06
Its a Numark, but digital and has plenty of trick buttons to keep you amused

Actually if anyone has a Hi Fi amp of some description they have sat doing nowt., PM me as with the speakers (Tannoy 605's and Rega EL8's) and my Sansui CD player I would have a basic Hi Fi again, cant spend much following several car related disasters and an electronics purchase embargo.
The rest of my stuff is for sale, well all the crappy bits

The Techincs amp at the bottom was my foray into AV a few years back and not worth using as anything you want to call hi-fi, the rest a motley assortment of clutter.
