It would be vulgar of one to discuss whom one knows, so I shant lol
However, a friends wife knows David Coulthard rather well (their parents are very good friends), she also knows Nicola Todt rather well, and I recall Nic's father dabbles with some little motorsport team, though I forget the exact specifics

I know Andy Smart, one of the comedy store players. Went to see him at the Comedy Store and then met him for a drink afterwards. He brought the rest of the players with him. It was rather weird being surrounded by all these people from the telly.

Saw Adam Faith in our local Sainsburys - over the fruit and veg counter !
Saw Ian Wright at Gatwick although didn't have a clue who he was at the time - he was wandering around with dark glasses on looking very dodgy and I thought he was a pickpocket I was keeping a wary eye on him when an airport working said hello to him and started chatting. I guessed he must be famous and sort of worked it out from there

A fair proportion of the Corrie cast live in south Manchester so you cant go out without tripping over one of them, went to school with Steve Mcdonald, have seen Eddie Yates (mate with my in laws), Betty Turpin, Sally and Kevin Webster, Ken Barlow, Denise the barmaid, Jim Macdonald etc etc, its a bit freaky really. Have seen Tim Healy out of Auf weidesehen pet a few times (married to Denise from Corrie) around here.
Also see loads of footballers around here, saw Beckham a few times (Tescos !), Dwight Yorke went out with my cousin for a bit but the News of the World put paid to that.
I used to deliver Clive Lloyds (the cricketer) papers
My brother knows Frank Sidebottom.

My Dad was asked by Gerry Anderson to be filmed close up drilling some holes to be used in the Thunderbirds TV series. After a few episodes, the unions got wind of it and insisted that he stop using my Dad, who was only one of the crew and that he should employ a different actor for each tool that was to be filmed. So a seperate actor for the drill, screw driver, wrench you get the idea. My Dads career in front of the camera was crually cut short LOL
I always wondered why until I heard this story that my Dad viewed actors with contempt and thought they was a pretenious **** bunch, Never mind what he thought about Tom Cruise!
After that he pretty much stuck to films and worked on such films as Dr No. Pink Panther. The elephant man. Star Wars I and III. Alien I and III. Never say never again. Indianna Jones and the temple of Doom. The Omen III. The Entity. Cutthroat island. Bill and Teds Bogus journey. Empire of the sun. Memphis Belle. The little shop of horrers. Peggy Sue got married. 12 monkeys. the fifth element. Interview with the vampire. Mission impossible. Saving private Ryan. Event horizon. and many many others I have since forgotten. His portrait was painted by someone in the art department once, as he was known as the skull for his interesting bone structure as they put it! LOL
Well ok I admit he's not famous in the front page of the Sun sense, but he was and continues to be the biggest star I will ever of had the pleasure to of known...

The first rule in these industries is NOT to 'name -drop' - makes you look a bit clingy, sad and desparate - even stalker material [but I did make Whitney a cuppa once, whilst staring at her every time she wasnt looking ]

I worked for someone who's son was mates with loads of ppl out of Byker Grove so got to meet all of them, but used to see them in Newcastle in Eldon Square all the time, The same person I worked for was right in with Newcastle United so when it was one of their Birthdays they had a party at his hotel, got their autographs also Alan Shearers Grandad lived in the same village as I did, Jimmy Nail drank with one of my Dad's mates in our local, Ant and Dec were in their limo in the car park of the pub my Mam works in, met Robson Green in our supermarket and in the ice cream shop he was always around our area, the bloke in Distant Shores was in the pub and my Mam served him coz they were filming at the time there, and last but not least Catherine Cooksons doctor lives 2 doors down from my Mam, never met her though.
