Feel better now that people have put their arm round your shoulders? Now I know where you get your cockmeister attitude from if your a member of a forum with Don's for moderators

I didn't post it because I was 'not happy with people disagreeing with me', I posted it because it's turned into a funny thread, and given your history over there I wanted them to see it and laugh at you some more.

Thing is, we are not really defending the car are we, we are defending the owners right to do what he wants without fear of being rudely shot down in an unnecessary and inflamatory way.
I was tempted to post on your thread at overcockers but resited - purely becasue I don't want my secret username to be ferreted out

I'm sure if the bloke was that offended he'd post up here how offended he is/isn't.
I expect that he gets mixed reviews all the time from peeps and does'nt really give a sh*t.
I think this threads done now

Have to admit I don't like the scoop type thing, but the wing is rather nice
I got some odd comments when I had the Scooby Doo number plates, foglight covers and "smiley" stickers on my Wagon. Did I care what people thought? no, not really, and I doubt Gareth does either.
I've seen, in my opinion far worse examples of modification, the yellow S202 (which I think was also at Bolney) being one such example, along with the Kiss 100 impreza *shudder*

Some of us overclocker regulars are also scoobynet regulars so easy on the dissing please
TBH I don't like it either but thats up to the owner of the wagon. My car in certain circles is considered the height of chav fashion (blue, gold wheels, stickers etc) but I couldn't give a flip - I like it and thats that. However, I'm quite prepared to take the flak. If I worried about what people saw me driving I wouldn't be driving an Impreza

Pmsl@ this thread. Who has the right to say its ****? Are you all fashion gurus? No i think not, i cant stand Graphics, Neons or Green cars but does that give me the right to say your cars ****? No it doesnt im sure there are people out there that say that my car is as well cos ive got Carbon but guess what i did nt do it to impress "Drexel" or the likes i did it for me and with what funds i had available. As said earlier we arent all on mega budgets we make do with what we can. Fair play to you m8 its different not to my taste for sure but that doesnt make it **** in my eyes.

...who cares tho in my OPINION i think it looks cool and is almost 'finished'. Blimey its like logging onto the ‘amazing double standard bbs’ on here sometimes...get over it people, don’t you think if the owner gave a **** about any of this he would be on here explaining his choices as he did to No-Bars?
Stop trying to censor peoples right to have an opinion just because you don’t agree with it, why so scared (that was rhetorical so don’t reply )!!!

As a surrey scoobie member, i was waiting for them to turn up at peas pottage and when they turned up with the wagon i looked and thought every man to him self, its a bit to mad for me, but its his car, people say things to me like chav and what ever for having a loud d/v, but i just think botherd , my taste is mine.
If all our cars looked the same it would be a boring world
Anger

Another Surreyscoober here....
Personal choice is a funny thing. Having met Gareth for the first time at Bolney I must admit that my first impression of his car was less than polite but once at Bolney surrounded by a bunch of blue cars with gold wheels I thought, my god, thank **** for something different! Even I've de-winged my car as every friggin scooby you see these days looks the same.
Whether you think his car is a shed or not speak to him and yu'll find he's a Scooby enthusiast above all else. That's all that matters to me - so good luck to him and his wagon!

I seem to remember a thread about a green Scoob that had been "differently" modified. The guy got a total slating here and he asked for the thread to be deleted, as he stormed off in a huff.
Anyone else remember the thread in question?

Are you talking about the veilside kitted one, or the Sport with the MRO kit?

As a scooby owner - I find that car embarassing.
Fact is Impreza's have been falling into the wrong hands now for a long time. I see a "maxed" classic every other day. There's tasteful modding, which I love to see, then there's the modding you expect to see on Corsa, which makes my teeth itch.
The scooby - once a classic, well respected, sought after car - now a chav magnet.
It's only a matter of time before they start to snap up the newage cars and start butchering them. I saw a bugeye a week or so ago with neons, tons of stick on tat and viper stripes. It just made me cringe.
Anyhoo, after a constant 6 years of owning a variety of Impreza's i've decided to jump before the ship sinks. My 04 WRX PPP sold yesterday, it'll be gone in 6 days time.
