There's another thread on here about Shell Optimax market research, seems to imply we are to get vpower 99 ron fuel at some point, is the timing just a coincidence or could it be that it has arrived already ?

I've been told that optimax advertising has stopped to allow for the changeover to Vpower very soon, or whatever it is called in france.

I have checked and would like to confirm that all fuel supplied to Tesco complies with the relevant British Standard.

The variations include:
Unleaded - BSEN228 (octane 95 RON) ?ultra low sulphur meeting Govt. spec)
Lead Replacement Petrol - BS4040 (octane 97 RON)
Diesel BSEN590 (ultra low sulphur)

Our fuel, the majority of which comes from UK oil companies, matches the quality of other leading fuel retailers. It is regularly tested by both the supplier and our own Technical Services Department.

I am sorry to confirm that there is no 99ron fuel.

So there'll now be a flurry of activity at Tesco petrol stations up and down the country as they re-label their "99 RON" as 97 RON?
I doubt it.

Probably 87.9ron for 99p/l and they put the sign up wrong....

i noticed my tesco has 2 different un leaded, we asked the woman behind the counter she said there the same stuff they just need to put another pump there as the had removed the lrp, on the label one was low somthing an the other high

Was in Germany last week, and the Shell V-power there is only 98 ron same as optimax...

Tesco's in Hemel Hempstead sells the 99Ron, last check it was just under 94p

Tesco Extra in Sunbury upton Thames now selling 99RON! Spotted it tonight while out for a quick blast. 95.9p - so not the cheapest, but still cheaper than Optimax.
