Plus they are quite rare too, which is a big plus in my eyes!

....also **** hot residuals!

He didnt say that, he said it was the most fun. But point to point you would take the Jap cars (an Evo & a Scooby) if you wanted pure speed.

He did race the cars against each other in a straight line drag, the M car won. Im sure its very fast and capable but its pretty obvious from the footage the Jap cars werent launched.

As with all Clarksons tests the results are rigged. If you want to have a fun RWD car then take the M Coupe. If you want point to point B-road ability take the Jap AWD motors. Horses for courses.

I went from a much modded STI5 type-r to an m-coupe.

I've put in a shorter ratio(still limited to 155!!)multi-plate lsd diff, lightweight BBS wheels, Schnitzer race coilovers, ARB's etc etc and the car is fantastic to drive with huge driver involvement!!

BUT

If your only interested in going the fastest way from A to B then a well sorted type-r or spec-c will be quicker. But for me the coupe is great due to it being rare, more refined, a bit less in your face and a real experience every time you drive it(especially at the Ring!!).
