You guys are amazing. He was a fantastic boxer and I loved watching him fight. My wife actually cut him up about a month ago while we were in Sheffield - he was driving perfectly sensibly - my wife was the problem.

Yes I am sure he drives badly - but probably no worse than half the people on this board.

They ran home after the accident - so what ? If I was a celebrity I would have done the same (and yes he still is a celebrity to many people). He obviously didnt think he would get away without anybody knowing it was him. The car is just a touch distinctive.

Come on Gav as others have pointed out - He may have only been doing 20mph and the Golf driver may well have not been wearing a seat belt. He WAS a great boxer so should be allowed the occaisional mishap in his car.

Dba - dont be so unpleasant - I wasnt calling you a f***ing idiot or a retard for your view. I didnt use yr words and you are totally missing the point.

He may have run home for many reasons - I dont know why he ran home. But life as a celebrity is different, and he is still young. The point is he can hardly have run away in order to avoid detection can he ? The car makes it obvious who was driving. Most of you guys on here seem to be calling a guy you have never met all sorts of things. As others have said there are always atleast 2 stories to these things - you believe everything you read in the press ? He lived close so maybe went home to get some help ? Who knows ?

And cue a superb team of lawyers who will swear blindly that mr Naseem was notr at the scene of the accident and everyone there was blind, and telling porkies..

failing to stop at the scene of an accident is a criminal offence...

the fact that your are a so called celeb is immaterial,

failing to stop.... guilty

as for who was driving, it only needs witness,s to corroborate and bobs your uncle..

what is strange is that pissy pete hasnt issued a homily.....

I read that they 'ran off' to go make a phone call...

'Cos dem mobiles is well expensive, man.

As for your earlier comment about the same subject, it is simply dumbfounding. Celebrity or not, not only is it illegal, it's also incredibly immoral. I used to enjoy watching him fight, but these actions just go to show what kind of person the guy, and his friends, are. Utterly contemptible (sp?)

Having been in a very similar situation the last thing on my mind was to run off. Help whoever you can ASAP, **** yourself waiting for the emergency services, wish the ground would open up and swallow you, or that you had just taken things a bit more sensibly.

All of the above, but run off...no way.

Clearly pissed. Can be no other reason? Unless he TRUELY believes he is better than anyone else can leave them dying at an accident he was involved in.

No, the car makes it obvious to whom it belongs. The usual "trick" is to either (a) get someone else to take the rap -- probably in exchange for some cash, or (b) get home and report it stolen.

Congrats.

Let the police deal with it. No point calling Nas this or that without having any proof. I dont remember reading anywhere that it was or was not Nas's fault....

failing to stop at the scene of an accident is a criminal offence fact..

if you dont belive the law thats your problem..

and why do most court cases get thrown out ... no witness,s..

cept in this case there were quite a few again fact.

yes plod will deal with it, but the FACTS still remain.

he/ they left the scene of an accident.

he/they were involved in an RTA with witness,s

Stop sticking up for someone who would cheerfully leave you for dead, he cannot have offered any assistance to those in the Golf if he fcuked off, as for saying it is because he is a 'celibrity' what a load of crap, he obviously drives round enjoying being known as proper celebrities dont advertise their prescence as they get pestered, getting an SLR and then confirming who is driving it by having that number plate means he isnt worried about the attention. Just like Eubank before him, utter attention seeking nutter that killed someone, driving round in an American truck wearing Jodphurs and a moinicle.

Who says that boxing doesnt affect the brain ?

And there was that Lee Hughes months back that drove his Merc through a Renault Scenic killing a bloke, he did a runner.

Is it perhaps that Boxers and Footballers tend to be self obsessed, overpaid, ignorant Yobbos, obviously they cant all be but it does seem to be a trait that quite a few have.

Christ, I wish the media would get all their facts together before they release statements like the one I caught. Made me look a bit daft that. Glad he's only released to appear later.
