Are non-smokers better workers than smokers?

all i have said in my original post was that i hate it and have noticed that its becoming more and more socialy frowned upon,

I don't mind people smoking so long as they do not affect me personally. I a have asthma and even a few inhalations of someone else's smoke can start problems either hayfever-like symptoms or breathing difficulties.
I have a problem with the groups of smokers that huddle around entrances to buildings or who smoke in public places that are not easy to avoid (ie. public transport or queues but not pubs and clubs)
When your job performance is directly related to you being there (ie. glass collecting, call centre etc.) then I have a problem with doing your work during your *** breaks, unless non-smokers get breaks of a similar length (in pub work I asked for fresh air breaks because the pub was smoky, and was refused) in all other forms of employment I don't care what you do with your time so long as the work gets done.
I don't support a ban on smoking in public places, though I would like to see more (ie. greater than zero) non-smoking pubs, clubs and restraunts to give people a choice and let the market decide.
Basically, so long as the smoker has reasonable consideration for other people then all is good
