[QUOTE=ScoobyDoo555]With all due respect, I think we need to clarify a few things.
In response to your post -
1. no, I haven't done 101. I'll accellerate like hell, up to the speed limit, but due to my great desire to keep my license, I won't exceed it. And also, in the right conditions.
2. I no angel, although I think you'll have to concede that there is a significant difference between say, 80 and the circa 120 that has been quoted.
3. Nowhere in my initial post did I say you drove at 120. I merely intimated that your first post (which was edited) backed up and glorified the act of speeding highlighted in the intial post. Therefore, I fail to see the justification of the "muppet" reference. However, I'll bow down to any greater intellect that can prove otherwise.
5. I've been on this board long enough for most people to realise that my posts are very thought out and rational. Your post *did* cause some annoyance, due to the immature impression you gave regarding the whole speed issue, although I found your M3 references informative. But please bear in mind that you were the one who made the reference to "young, dum and full of ***" - not me.
I use my Scoob "energtically", like most drivers, but with reference to the initial post, there is a time and a place for that type of driving - the track, not the public highway.
Ok i understand, my immaturity made you break my post down into segments with the soul purpose of trying to make me look silly?
Because you’re a mature person?
Do you really think your posts to me have been any more diplomatic and mature than mine?
Fine, however my original post was not aimed at you, however you still decided to be quite offensive and publicly direct it at me, and im a newbie compared to you, so thanks for that mate
My post was my advice to 1 one Scooby member, not you, im sure he will ignore or take on board accordingly
Yes i did edit because my spelling is awful, i normally cut and paste in a word doc if there are to many mistakes
IMHO hard driving up to 70 has a higher risk factor than sitting at 90 with little or no cars on the road or even 100 (:
Im not going to get into a battle with you over this as i need this forums help to run the scoob, and you obviously know a lot of members and it would seem you have the ability within your personality to use this against me
But using well worded responses as i see you have done on many occasions is overkill, plus its wise to understand a little further the intellect with whom you are attempting to communicate with first, the latter would suggest an attempt to embarrass
There is no doubt that you’re a dab hand at breaking down a post and attempting to stamp it with intellect and embarrass other members
You will always win against me playing this kinda game my friend, and the reason for that is you live in a far more detailed world than i do
Its quite rare for me to come out of my shell as you will see from my pasts posts, also it would seem your the first person i have mildly irritated

Hopefully this explanation will help you see it from my perspective. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me and we can keep it off this poster's topic
Anyway, BACK ON TOPIC!!!
Obviously some people are experiencing an involvement where the Scoob is coming out on top. So my question is "Why?" when the M3 is obviously (on paper) a considerably quicker car.

don’t worry about the snipes you will get from this thread, every body who will say your irresponsible are full of crap, every bodies at some point has push it on public roads, just don’t do it often and makes sure no cars are around
And ignore any Scooby net members with 2000 plus posts that get cocky, it’s only that they have acquired a lot of knowledge but haven’t got the intelligence to be humble with it

I think it's because not everyone is living in a Fast and Furious world. I think that people with fast cars that race on the roads have issues of low self-esteem whereby they have to test themselves against other road users to a point where they are a danger to themselves and the public. The number of posts that start with "I beat a *insert car here* and before you start, he WAS trying" is one piece of evidence to support this view. Most drivers don't want to try. Ok, they might give their fast car a squirt now and then, but they behave sensibly, or they have a realistic appreciation of the level of their driving skill. I'm sorry to have to say this, lads, but there are only a few really skilled drivers in this world, and with a few exceptions, they don't frequent this board. In my view, anyone who wishes to test a fast Impreza to its limit against an M3 on a public road, given the level of speed and commitment required for either one to come out significantly better than the other is a lunatic

Airlines save millions a year in fuel by cleaning planes due to drag (:
Just fitted sti covers (removed the sti sticker first) on my wrx, i reckon ive got 50 bhp more and can scrub half a second of the 0 to 60 time because if reduced drag lol
