No disrespect to your other half, the truck should have been signalling, but I tend to expect trucks to take the outer line round some roundabouts as they can be a bit tight otherwise.

The number of times I have seen a truck in the left lane, signalling right and then some muppet comes hoofing up the inside and then wonders why they get munched by the trailer!

Agree with Olly there. I always give the big trucks loads of room on roundabouts. No point in trying to see if either a) I can beat him round it or b) Seeing how my car looks squished underneath a truck.
Seeing a mini in that very position once many, many moons ago, has had a very sobering effect on my approach to roundabouts. Not pretty.

Not only that, the outside lane has right of way at every point on a roundabout.
