Which Tyres?

Dream on paying £80 each fitted and balanced and new valves for F1's. More like £80 for the tyre and another £7 - 10 each fitted and balanced with new valves.

What size? 215 x 40 x 17?
The best tyre I have had in that size is Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. VERY good in the rain. Soft side wall and not the best mileage on a set but certainly the best wet weather tyre so far.
Shop around and expect to pay £80 each, fitted, new valve, balanced.
These are asymetric tyres as most are at this size so you need to fit a pair on the same axle and you can only rotate them front to rear and vice versa unless you are prepared to take them off and turn them on the rim.
The circumference of Goodyears compared to other makes of similar size should be close enough to make no signifigant difference to your centre viscuous.

I have F1's on the MX-5 and find that the sidewalls are a little soft but the profile is larger on the 14" rims.

Thats very strange cause cheapest you can get them on net is £80. They must fit them for free then and make zero profit, nice tyre outfit. Your Falkens are a bit expensive, I can get them for £57.

Nice mark up considering Joe Bloggs can buy them for £80 each from net and pay about £7 each fitted and balanced with a new valve.

I was hoping to find somewhere local to buy & fit for a reasonable price but it looks like its going to be the net again.
