Shouldn't've done that, u could've damaged your alloys!
A kid on its own, fair enough, soft & squidgy see, but those trike handlebars could've done some real damage!
Just think first next time, eh?

Other half was at local tip once with Forester XT & notices spotty oik peering at car, clearly unable 2 work out what it was!
Having studied car from all angles spotty oik asks "Is that a Subaru?"
Other half "Yes."
Spotty oik :Wassat on the bonnet?"
Other half "That's the intercooler scoop."
Spotty oik "So it's a diesal then?"
This produced guffaws of laughter from various other tip workers who proceeded 2 call him every variant on the word "plonker" & were still at it when other half drove off!

always makes me laugh when the rims are worth more than the entire car, and its amazing how many times you see it happen.

A possible mistake the kid could of made is comparing it to the Kia cars all the turbo diesel models come with Huge bonnet scoops, while the petrol ones do not. I just cannot think of any other reason he would say that. Unless of course he is just a plonker

I have often wondered why the said chav's think that spending 4k on stereos and non-painted body parts makes a car "wicked" ?
Oh sorry, i forgot the 'innit' bit there, i stand correct, 'wicked innit'
LOL.
Why dont they learn? All that money could buy a proper car to start with! FFS kids whats wrong with you nowadays?
I mean, 'Max Power' magazine, LOL, hahaha, help i got stomach ache.
Its like, Nova 1.1, 4k stereo, 3k body kit, 1k paint job, but its still a ****e 1l Nova ffs!
Hahahaha, i love it.
(i never read Max Power, someone forced me too under threat of pain!)

I pulled up outside my local motor factors one day in my black pulsar and parked up right beside the window.Went inside to buy some fuses, when i went to the till i noticed all the young lads who work there checking out my car.The kid who served me then commented on how nice my car was and how lucky i was to have a black one as these were the lightest ones because the paint was lighter!WTF?No more drugs for you sunshine.

I'd rather they were in awe and called it wicked and me give them a thumbs up and a "few" extra revs than they key it or try and nick it

Isn't it one of the main points of owning a scoob that most people know what it is and admire it?

I've only cringed once ... on the way to pick a friend up there were young girls hanging about on the street corner ... as I drove past a couple of them started screaming and shouting like they'd seen Robbie Williams. One of them went "there it is, theres my car. Thats so cool" ... I smiled to myself and then forgot about them as I picked my mate up ... on the way to the pub the same kids were now walking down the road and as I drove past they stopped and gave me a round of applause

My mate nearly wet himself

I've never had any of this attention. Only had the car for a month or so, but nobody seems to look twice. Not that I'm grumbling, I think mine is just too old and slow to be of interest.

Those of you that get noticed must have the gold wheels and bright blue cars

I had a young lad in his Nova with stuck on scooby scoop and loud exhaust and black bin bags for tints pull up next to me at the lights, I looked over at him and he stared back and started revving his car up to say listen to that exhaust, me and my mates couldnt stop laughing we were in complete stitches, it was that funny that he thought it sounded good and then he drove off not to happy.

Is it any wonder these kids go around scratching our cars if your blatantly laughing at them or being the complete opposite and ignoring them (like your above them). You were young once remember.

Yes there bonnet scoops on their £150 Nova's look sh!te but they get that inspiration from us because they associate the Scooby scoop as a sign of a performance car. As for all this "why don't they just buy the car they are trying to create rather than spending thousands in a cr*p car", they probably wouldn't get insured on the car they really want so they just have to do the best with what they have and create their "very individual" style with some examples on a very low budget so you end up with the scary looking Nova shown earlier.

If you had a standard car as a youngster then you were either very dull or had the money from your family to drive something special. I personally would rather they spent all day drooling over my car and gave me their pathetic "Chav (I hate that word) talk" rather then them not respect me or my car and key it just to be nasty.

Yes their cars are a joke but they like them and if it earns them respect from their friends then so what.

Look back at the past, the 60's, the 70's, the 80's!! All the younger generations had poor taste in clothes, hair styles, music, scooters and cars. But if any of these were your generation then I bet you thought you were the "nutts".

I had some middle aged bloke trying to burn me up in his sierra yesterday. I didn't laugh at him, just gave mine a boost, showed him what he was up against and left it as that .

Do you realise we get looked upon as boy racers too? Gold wheels, WRC stickers, Dump valves, Big loud exhausts, someone on here has a half red half white scooby which I think looks extremely "CHAV" (you know who you are)

I am jealous of the owner of the DB9 near me but it doesn't make me want to scratch it. If he started laughing at me because of my car or turned his nose up at me just because I showed an interest in his then I'm not saying I would attack his car but I certainly wouldn't respect him or his car.

We are all still kids at heart, that's why we drive what we do.

Ok had my moan, now I'm ready for the day ahead so please feel free to retaliate...

I dont laugh at every **** end who pull up next to me in there nova, Just the ones who try to get your attention by doing something stupid, or overtaking over you on blind bends etc, Ive got respect for some Novas the ones where people have spent time and money on them, not the dim wits who get there £10 pocket money walk into Halfords and ask someone in there what can I get for a £10 mate to make my nova stand out from the crowd, You have to admit there are some terrible mods that people do to there cars, theres a lad near me who has used Poly Filler to smooth his tailgate where the numberplate used to be and then sprayed over it with can of aerosol paint to match the colour of his car.

I didn't say any of the mods were good. Pollyfiller, I have seen worse..... But that £10 that he walks in to halfrauds with is all he has. If it makes him happy doing it to his car then who are we to argue. Besides the worse their cars look the better ours are. Overtaking on blind bends and dangerous driving is done by idiots who need locking up. Please don't confuse the point I was trying to make as I have no respect for people who drive like that.

i dont bother with chavs in their novas but do look for porsches and tvr s, after a quick blast with them, normally slow down and appreciate the others car.
So, if a nova boy who loves his car wants a spirited drive, you'll turn it down because he's not worthy, but a Porsche or TVR is fair game?

I'm sure on porschenet, or tvrnet, there's people laughing at "chavs" who keep trying it on in their imprezas right now...
