Big spoliers, ridiculous exhausts, neons, stickered up cars, moronic paint jobs is just the worst side of chav "look at me" mentality. Thats why so many people would rather die than be associated with those currently destroying the status of a once iconic performance great.

I personally cant wait for about 10 years time when you've moved on to something else and the original Impreza starts hitting classic status with original versions being sought after.

Still so long as you get the looks in Macdonalds Car park on a friday its your choice (unfortunately).
What a Pompous reply that is get real will you?
Heres one for you pal

Its all about being different and i dont like Mc Donalds either.

Funny that, because at a time when I hadn't done much to my MY96 Sti it was called an old shed!

And I don't sit in Macdonalds car parks on a friday, or any other day, I'm probably out northern souling at a venue somewhere. Some of us do have lives above and beyond cars.

A car can be an extension of your personality. Some are shy and quiet, others are loud and blingtastic. I find standard cars quite boring to look at, preferring something that stands out from the crowd. That's the real difference isn't it - thing is, I don't go into posts and say 'that's a **** looking standard car'.

I just don't understand why certain members on here are so damn rude. If you don't like it fine, but insinuating she may be a chav slapper is rather insulting.

So, my opinion is this. I doubt very much she is a chav slapper. I don't think she was stupid. I don't think she has reduced the value of her car and suspect she doesn't give a **** about resale value. Kudos to her for not biting the bait like I have.

Over and out.

I honestly think alot of people on these forums do NOT know what a real chav is! ... it seems to be a word used for someone who does something they DO NOT like.

Lexus lights = Chav

Change standard spoiler = Mixed views chav/ok

Dump Valve = Chav

Likes to add individuality = Chav

The list could go on for hours ... but you get the general idea. I doubt a real chav could afford most of the mods that these people have made to their car.

All praise the national newspapers for bringing the word 'chav' to the publics attention so it can be used for narrowminded people about anythign they dislike about anyone else instead of having the ***** to say 'me PERSONALLY wouldnt have done that .... this is more my style'

Glad to see we are on the same wavelength cov scooby I think jealousy/envy plays a very large part on this fora where insults are concerned. Perhaps they lead a dull and bland life so feel the need to shout down those that aren't/don't because they envy their zest for life, confidence and popularity. I guess that's their shortcoming really then

lol With you all the way with that one. I hate the way the word is used on this forum. Step away from the norm and your a "Chav". Not everyone wants to be the same. Why can't people just accept that?

scoobybabe, I'm sure your car suits your personality and lets be honest, a car doesn't get much more lady like .

i based my opinion from a practical point of view........
i know from personal experience that people get very silly about a car that looks a bit different and will take pleasure from keying it or something like that.
a lot of guys say they wouldnt have a yellow car 'cos its too 'girly', when infact i bought it from a guy in the first place
also you would have to make sure you are looking your best when out in it because everyone will be looking...i had my windows tinted so i can go shopping looking like a witch
i do like the colour but i wouldnt drive round in it for those reasons, there are a lot of jealous people out there
not everyone will always like my car, (i fookin hate it sometimes) and i dont give a cats turd about those. and yes it does enhance the possibilities, the same way that subaru bring out new models all the time with different variations in styling, performance and colour, i dont like all of those but thats life

Don't think colour comes into it Sarah, it's the fact it's a scooby over anything else.

Hmmm very daring colour is pink, but hey what the hell you either love it or hate
IMO there's nothing wrong with some pink on your car

I for one do not like pink cars but on the other hand I don't mind what people do to their cars. If you want a pink car then good on you! Not many people will actually go out and achieve their dreams.

However, I will say the Impreza marquee has been ruined since Impreza's became affordable. I for one am glad I don't drive Impreza's anymore. I do not want to be associated with a teenage gimp in a stickered up, neon flashing ICE box whose GOD is Ronald MacDonald! Why else do they attend McDonalds every weekend, because it’s certainly not for the food!

This thread sums it up really!

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=428412

And my tip of the day

If you see a chav'd car that's going around late at night, making noise, causing distress etc. Then take down the registration, phone your local police and quote section 59 at them - Section 59 Vehicles used in manner causing alarm, distress or annoyance. The Police have to follow this up. The vehicle will be impounded if the owner gets too many complaints aka if the police have to visit the owner for the second time!
