Maybe its time to park a bait car there, and just so happen to be in a van near it armed with baseball/cricket bats.

Im up for it

Hilltoppers mate, no doubt.

Bizarrely enough, the only silencer in my old mini system was the back box, which promptly fell off just past the Comet roundabout, sounded like a top fuel dragster. The slowest top fuel dragster ever.

Chin up, shop in St Albans even if the parking's pants.

It does happen. There was a notorious car park up in Newcastle years ago. One of my dad's friends parked there early in the morning. The level was pretty full, but by later evening his was the only car there.

When he came back to it, it looked a little "high". Well, that was not surprising, as the c*nts had nicked his whole f'king engine. The ENGINE, wtf!!

Apparantly he just stood there in disbelief. As would anybody else.

Thats unreal !! I just cannot get over how low some people will sink.

What car is it as I have an original Subaru Turbo backbox you are welcome to in the interim. I'm only in Enfield and work in Borehamwood just down the A1.

I have had someone try and unbolt my front bumper which I found pretty amazing !

Ive heard of someone nicking a propshaft before....Days when cars were RWD. That must have been the funniest ever ..watchin the guy start her up , engage gear....attempt to shift off ..but hey..... wtf....

On a serious note im sorry to hear that mate. Fitted a nice new back-box to mine and actually thought at the time how easy it could be to swipe it......As it turned out they ripped off my type 5 spoiler instead....
I think as above i will *just not* be parking in multi storey again FULL stop.

Hardly too much hassle. It can happen with any modded car. Left standard they most likely wouldnt have bothered.

Watch out for a MPV driving around with a prodrive box on

Seriously, it really is about time this started to happen. The police can't or won't do anything about this sort of thing. Too often there's little or no evidence left anyway. It really is time for the private citizen to stand up for him/herself. I'm not talking about lynch mobs (as nice as the idea sounds) but what about planting bait cars, having transits sit watching them with video cameras thru tints, etc. Then record any criminal activity and all pile out and make a citizen's arrest. Present the evidence and the crim to the local cops and see if they'll do anything when their job's been done for them.

Thats a real sh!tter mate, cant believe someone would do that.......

Didnt realise the Galleria was that bad, its not that far from us in St Albans,
if you want to shop in St Albans feel free to park in our car park and walk into town (about 5-10min up the road....)

Maybe worth popping a few spots of weld on the bolts of the new one so its not so easily removed -

When you get your new prodrive backbox put back on, park your car there again, and wait for them in a near by car, when they start to remove it again, cut there fingers off with a Stanley Blade, At least you'll find the dick head who stole it last time and with no fingers he wont be able to steal anybody elses backboxes, and he would have learned his lesson.

If I get the backbox fitted I would not only cut their fingers off, I'll tied him/them to the zorst and find as many road humps as possible and let all my fellow scoob owners have a jolly time driving over them!!!!

Regarding the spot welding of the bolts, I am a little worried the F**kers after the attempted theft would do damage on the car instead.
