Hello
Thank you for your replies. Reading on the internet, shows some nasty experiences with Scientologists. The school is not actually sponsored by them, although 70% of the parents of the children are Scientologists.
The school uses methods from http://www.appliedscholastics.org/ to promote learning, although looking in to it further it looks scarily like the brain washing techniques of the Scientologists themselves.

Edit: Fix the website

Markus - A religion that that follows a mysterious force - would that be Jedi or Catholisicm? remarkable similarities, but at least the Jedi don't constantly beg for money even though they are the richest organisation in the world

On a more micro-level, I've seen one of their leaflets on a popular subject that I happen to know about. It's full of populist myths and factual errors, in order to get their point across.

Interesting debate - an unusual one for Scooby Net.
I think the best thing we can each do is make up our own mind.
If your really interested in learning more about religion/spirituality without the usual judgement you could try these books, you might be surprised at what you find out:
The 7 spiritual laws of success - Deepak Chopra (small book only takes an hour to read)
How to Know God - Deepak Chopra
Coversations with God (series of books) - N D Walsch
As an unbeliever it certainly gave me a better understanding of what it was all about.

Or Oolon Colluphid's best-selling trio of books, "Where God Went Wrong", "Some More of God's Greatest Mistakes", and "Just Who Is This God Person Anyway?". Not to mention the post-BabelFish "Well That About Wraps it Up for God".
