Who fancies phoning autoglass for a quote for the windscreen and windows etc.? lol
Surely to keep in with the rest of the "design ethos" you'd be better off visiting this site for quotes http://www.top-five.co.uk/double-glazing.php

It also helps if you spell the manufacturer's name correctly. Look at the title of the auction: McClaren...

I quite like the look of the Mercedes replica.

There aren't the words in the English language for the other one.

The 355 reps can hold their own as long as the person looking is either female or doesn't know anything about cars. You can see just by looking at them its not quite right. Also the ones that have genuine 18" 355 alloys are a bit iffy on the road due to the MR2 chassis not coping to well with the size.

Whilst at the dentist yesterday I read an article on reps and the cars were given to owners of the real thing. There was a GT40, 355 and Diablo and I think the diablo was deemed to be the best replical.

How anyone could have continued with the F1 monstrosity after seeing the body for the first time is beyond me.

He won't be drawn into answering questions via email......

I asked him a few questions about the heap and he simply replied "call me on 0191*******".

He's no fun

From the front though it does have potential:

I been to a fair few kit car shows, and some of monstrosities that pop up there have to be seen to be believed.

But from certain angles and after a few pints even the ugliest women can carry a certain attraction

Easy solution: Fit a windscreen, sort the lights and just reverse it into your garage so people can only see the front, leaving the garage door open for passers by to gawp at...never ever take it out into broad daylight!

Yeah, but look at how much it sold for at that Auction and how much he wants for it 1 MONTH later!!! Oh and its based on a Rover. As if it wasnt suffering enough

Anyway there is a better replica of the McLaren F1 availiable.

Company responsbile is DDR Motorsport Read their site. Apparently there's is MR2 based, and takes its inspiration from :

The silhouette of the car is inspired on the most popular GT cars of today, cars like the Porsche GT1, Jaguar XJ220, Ford GT90 prototype, Porsche 962, etc.
Funny how it doesnt mention the McLaren F1

Not perfect by any means but a DAMN site better
