Recently got back from Cyprus after watching the Cyprus rally. Stayed in Limassol which was convenient for the rally but it really is an awful place. Very busy road all the way through the town (several crashes every day due to very poor driving standards), no decent beaches, non stop hassle from taxi drivers. IMHO the east of the Island (Protarus and Ayia Napa) is much better, or it used to be anyway.

Chris's kebab in Epi village - best Meze in Cyprus! I think I must have eaten more meals in there in the two years I lived in Cyprus than I did at home!
(..followed by a good p***-up in the Woodstock!)

We used to have competitions at drop kicking empty beer cans over the roof of the mess.

Sorry you missed those two shops OllyK

Yes i agree that Limmasol not the most fantastic place to venture and yes that strip of a crash zone they call a road is just crazy. Many a time i was screaming in fear as my man zipped through the streets in his scooby, not becasue fo his driving but the Cypriots standards are appauling. We only occasionally ventured down there for bits and pieces because its the nearest village to the base he lives on. Have to agree the brandy sours are fantastic!!!!! Im hoping to go back for a hol to see my man when he goes back to his, gonna be sooooooooo hot!!!! The troodos mountians are beautiful, when i was over at new year we was up sledging on them, it was brill. Think the only reason we went up tho was for him to thrash the scoob on the lil twisty roads with HUGE cliff drops!!!!!!! lol enjoy ur hols though
