That'd be due to the fact that you can't have ampersands in thread titles, something which Al is now aware of

 

Although strangely enough, it actually posts said ampersand, then an abbreviation to indicate that it can't.....

 

The penny drops.. I've been wondering where the Amp references were coming from...

Showing an almost incomprehensible lack of knowledge about the subject, I think it's something to do with control codes in HTML or something like that. Probably there to stop folk putting smilies, image tags, etc. into thread titles.
