Click HERE for a 360° view of the cars in all colours.

The WRX in these shots doesn't have a boot spoiler at all!

Oh dear - Lexarse lights as standard!

otherwise, very nice - pity no interior upgrades aprt from the stereo which looks like a huge improvement design wise. Not sure about the roof level spoiler, although I don't think it'll take long to start appearing on '03 cars...

Nice back, nasty front.

Why are designers obsessed with trying to replicate the Alfa look...?? Looks too much like a Seat rip-off to me.

In Holland current WRXs (2005 models) don't get spoilers as standard either...

I don't mind the front. Agree with all the Alfa/Seat comparisons, but it is still a good looking front end. Lament the ridiculously high STi scoops passing, the new one is more like the bugeye scoop The rear high level spoiler/diffuser type thing looks pure Halfords tatt along with the Lexarse lights, but they look like a direct swap for 03-05 units so some chav will want to swap eventually That has to be the most pathetic ever attempt at a venturi I have ever seen and they've missed the chance of popping the side repeater into the door mirrors (like Leggy and Forester) Not keen on the boot badge either, but some of these things may look better when seen in the flesh.

All looks something of nothing rearlly, It should keep them going until 2007 and the new one comes out.

Using Internet Exchange Convertor

STi @ 3,402,000 Yen = £17,115.28

There is two prices for the WRX, possibly 4 and 5 door model

WRX - 5 door @ 2,488,500 Yen = £12,524.92

WRX - 4 door @ 2,425,500 Yen = £12,207.83

Also found a movie clip of the MY06 Sti on the Subaru Japan Website:-

Actually that is an option in Japan - I very nearly ordered it on my car, but decided that in the event of a ding I was better off having a car that shared wings and mirrors with the UK model, so I chickened out at the last minute. I can dig out the photo from the STI parts catalogue if you like.

Post 344 DBY, my sentiments exactly, yet another facelift model tbh with maybe a couple of goodies thrown in just to tempt you. I have to agree that i would wait for the 2007 model or whatever / whenever it will be, for a complete overhaul version. I mean, somebody somewhere has to have a set of bollocks to say "okay enough is enough, we cant fool these enthusiasts anymore with gimmeky new front ends. One of us will have to grow a pair and re-design the whole car". I will wait for that day

Then i see Topcats post No. 345 and view link and say "Phwoaar" thats gonna look nice on a good country road.

I dont know what to think tbh, obviously its really looking good but i cant help thinking it wouldnt take much for a 2001 bugeye to look like the 2006 Impreza and tbh thats not on. In 4 years the car shoud of been completely re-designed and properly brought into the 21st Century. The bugeye got everything right imo with the exception of the lights, the side reflectors and rear wing.

Yes i am a bugeye owner

The **** has fell out the market of my car, so yes, i'll wait for the real model to come in, in 07. That way the car i have now could afford to be scrapped and it wouldnt cost me anything and then i'll have a nice new Scoob that everyone will say "Uuuh, its not as good as the classic"

Dan,
I have gone from Classic UK to Bugeye STi to classic type R. I prefer the looks of the Classic but TBH the newage Cars are much better Cars all round.

Although I was taking it steady at Castle Coombe, wouldn't have been good to do a repeat performance, but I much prefered my STi on Track and road, now slightly regreting going "backwards"
