What a lot of speculation and guesswork! They have the same photos we've already seen, a Photoshop special two page spread, and enough hype and rumours in the text to conclusively prove that they don't actually have any more hard information than anybody else. Nice one, Auto Express, on the top of your game as usual I see.

Bollox !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have just bought a MY05 STi with PPP. I'm sure I read a few months ago that the new STi was to have the same engine/power as the current one.
If I known the new one was to be 2.5ltr and 300BHP I'd have waited and got that, with the Prodrive pack to 350BHP.
Thanx for that racingzone. I feel sick now.

The picture is an offical image from Subaru but there is supposed to be a embargo on it until the 17th, maybe thats why they changed the wheels and added UK plates The UK car won't have 300bhp out of the box
We had all the information on the MY06 cars for a while so send us a mail or give us a call.
Regards
Iain

Really? It just didn't look like any 'real' photo, too much like the work of a graphic designer who's seen the same photos of the blue car as the rest of us.
I'll reserve judgment until I've seen the spec, but looks-wise I still think my '05 car looks fantastic, especially in the sunshine we're currently enjoying.

I dread to think what the fuel consumption will be like but then maybe scooby owners don't care about that

I haven't read the article yet, but I do know that the statement above is correct as there seem to be lots of rumours and very few facts

Usual Suabru carp - every change make a chnage, devaluing all others etc etc. We all know a brand new model is coming out in 2006, so why do all this now. It will still have a fairly crap interior and still be based on a 14 year old chassis...

Mike I think what Moray is trying to say is, is the 2.5L STi engine going to be in the MY06 Sti Type UK? Or ANY STi for that matter?
