I'm down south - does you car have any noticible marks/stickers etc? Have you got a photo of it?

Actually, is it this one? Appears to have no spoiler at all - is from the subaru site at Hellas - http://www.subaru.gr/lineup/impreza/...odel/16TS.html

Could have been mistaken for a WR1???

Who knows what the answer is?

Oh yea that'll really work..!

After the bb's bounce off them (and they stop laughing) they'll pull out a real gun (illegally held of course) and blow your brains out...!

Not a very realistic approach is it..?

And for all you hero's with base ball bats etc, have you ever been waken up in the middle of the night with someone in a mask over your bed...?!! You'd **** yourself, who wouldn't (Andy Mcnabb and co maybe..?).

On the very reare (thankfully) occasions that this sort of happens just let them have the keys FFS...!

BTW a 12g is definately a better option to a toy BB gun..!

Yes this is a worrying trend they can't get the cars without keys so they break in for them or try and mug you.

The only thing I can suggest is to have a pretty good house alarm (ie one connected to a call monitoring centre and with a panic alarm button which is set every night.

I gather lots of people don't bother setting their house alarms at night because they are in ???? so burglars don't mind having a go at night.

Of course the real issue will be how quick the police would respond and would the house alarm deter deter determined thugs.

Lets hope they don't come after my Aqua WRX

Pity it might have helped providing they didn't have time to remove it.

I think that there are receivers near ports which can detect vehicles fitted with tracker an article in What car or something awhile ago.

Regarding trackers.............

Have been advised by police to have tracker fitted next time

advised by other people that they know if tracker fitted because they park it some where for a couple of hours and if nobody comes for it ,,,,bingo

Default PLEASE DONT BUY A STOLEN CAR BECAUSE OF THE IMPLICATIONS

HI still clutching at straws and realise these cars that were stolen from us will probably out of the country or different colours or even they might of turned into robin reliants (perish the thought)
BUT POLICE ARE NOT LOOKING AND I REALISE THAT THEY PROBABLY HAVE GONE FOREVER BUT I WOULDNT WANT SOMEBODY TO BUY A STOLEN CAR THAT MIGHT BE TAKEN OFF THEM IN THE FUTURE

Not strictly true, if you get the horizon version the whereabouts of the car can be monitored so providing they don't remove it quickly (i.e they just leave it and wait) the police should be able to locate it and retrieve it.

Agree - give them a lift there too - via a piece of rope attached around their necks.............

Says it all really, doesnt it - cant stop the slime, however if you are the poor unfortunate that buys the stolen vehicle - then u also loose all your money and the car - you can see why crime is so popular - the legal system is set up to support the criminals it seems at present

I guarantee if the creeps came into your bedroom and you acted on instinct and threw something sharp at them - it would be you locked up - wouldnt stop me though - the sheer injustice of working yourself to the bone to get a few luxuries (forget a house - nobody can afford them anymore..) and these morons simply demanding your keys - trust me, they get both barrels - come what may - policeman told me once - just make sure you dispose of the bodies carefully.....!!
