We manage it mostly because our joint income is rather healthy, but also because my missus is 'rather careful' with our funds. I take my hat off to the way she hunts out the best bargains to save the cents so that we always have enough Euros to spend on the bigger things. (no intention to leave it all to the sprog(s)). Her Excel household accounting system is pretty impressive too. To be honest some of these Cloggies are so tight the average Scot would call them mean...
