The secret with the clenaser, is to buff it off fairly soon after you've applied it, do NOT allow it to dry, and don't try to do too large an area all at once... the paint should squeak when you rub it with your finger after the cleanse..... and with two coats of wax, you really don't have to redo it that often, however, if a bird or something is clever enough to poo on the car (yes, I know thats the only place thats birds crap!) you can always redo just one panel.
The time you'll know when it needs re-waxing is when you wash it, and the water doesn't run off it........
I use a micro cloth to dry it off, well, two actually, one to get the worst of the water off, and the second to get it totally dry.....

Birds always **** on my car, it's parked under a tree all day at work. Going to have to find another spot I think.
The pre-wax does squeek when it is applied correctly, I did 1 panel at a time. Put the prewax on the buffed it straight off.
With the wax I did half the car, then buffed it off, then did the other half.
Are the micro clothes worth the money, I used some lint free stuff from Halfrauds.

IMHO, proper prep. is the key to a deep, clear, reflective shine. Have a good read of the posts at http://www.autopia.org and some of the tutorials at http://www.bettercarcare.com before spending mucho £££ on one single product.

The Cleaner fluid is far more important that the wax !
Preparation is the key !
The cleaner fluid will cleanse & prepare the surface for the wax
The surface after cleansing will be glass like & very smooth to the touch !
I find microfibre cloths or terry towels are the best for removal of the cleaner fluid & or wax !
Turn them regularly for the best finish !
