Sorry Sara ................ just this minute been down to jessops and spent my money on a Canon 70-200mm L Zoom Lens - you don't even want to know how much it was (but it was much more than a new backbox! )

See I can spend money when I need to

The Magnex exhausts are pretty quiet too - Though I do have a centre section with a resonator in - which seems quieter to me than the original cat'd centre section.

Fair point though - plus I bet a decent stainless aftermarket backbox will be cheaper than a standard one from a dealer.

Changing the back box changes the flow rates through the exhaust, I would recommend as a minimum, a remap and a knocklink fitted. (Don't forget the prodrive perf pack comes with a remap!) Oh and your car certainly won't work right with a modified back box unless you have a set of 19 inch gold wheels complete with spinners, and while you're modifying the back box it would be a good time to fit the flamer kit

All these things would look like $h!te on a saloon, but on a five door they will just ooze class. Trust me

I'm going to have a re-map, so I can use Super fuel.

I'll be changing the MAF Sensor and will carry out an **** Oil Change.

The Lambda Sensor needs recalibrating and the wheels painting a brighter silver.

I need a CockLink to give me some 'ever-so-pretty' lights to impress my passengers - they think the car is soooooo special then!! ... yes, chavvy - but its koooool.

Should I get the ECU Mark IIV with the red dot on, the one with the data mapped for NASA and the Space Shuttle??

Hmmm, you'll just be missing one thing then - the neons

I can do the remap for you, cost £1000, don't even have to plug anything in (my laptop has wireless connectivity and can remap your car over the internet)

£1000???

Sounds too cheap!! I reckon you won't really do ANYTHING!!

But, there are plenty on here who will send you their Credit Cards so you can pass the re-map through the internet and then it will transmit from their screen if they position it towards the car .................

Looks like we have ourselves a nice little earner here !!!!! ................

OK, how about £1500 for the "budget" remap (might result in engine failure) or £2000 for the "premium" remap? Nobody is going to go for the budget one now, are they.....

Still too cheap, the ***** on here will be DEMANDING that they be ripped off a HUGE amount (they feel that the price = the power and quality see??)

Lets make 3 options available:-

1. £1000 for a standard re-map

2. £2000 for a premium re-map

3. £3000 for a rally re-map

We both know that none does ANYTHING whatsoever - but they will be convinced that the car is faster and smoother and now delivering 750BHP

Everyone will go for option 3 - as everyone else will laugh if you have 1. or 2.

We can't lose!!

Bye the way, I'm offering spiritual healing for any ecu, all models, just by the laying of hands on your cocklink. Guaranteed extra 100 horsepower and vegetarian buffet supplied. I thought £3500 seemed about right?

They get louder as they get older and they get louder as they get hotter, so I in essence, I reckon your comment is about right. Mine's quite rumbly and loud at parking speeds when it is hot after a longer journey (say 60miles+). The rest of the system is standard from the turbo back including cat.

For Subaru exhausts, you've probably got three choices.
- s/h STi 3" backbox
- s/h Prodrive PPP backbox
- s/h Prodrive P1 backbox
