I said put an article in the paper saying that over the year the police will be conducting a number of initiatives across various locations and then explain why the initiative was so important. At no point did I suggest giving out specifics of dates, or locations. However, if keeping all the criminals at home was a simple as posting in the paper that there was going to be a sting operation, don't you think the Police would be puttin an add in every day??

Tit!

it may be a good way to catch crims but it seems to often that the police don't investigate crimes properly. I understand that they can't launch huge investigations for small crimes but they should help people to do what they can to prevent future crimes. Having been robbed 4 times in six weeks I would have at least the expected the police to return cctv tapes as I am sure if I had stills of the theiveing ****s and took the stills around town I would soon get names and addresses of the *******. The police should help with initiative's for people to catch the people who have robbed them were possible rather than me having to ask every week for my cctv tapes back.
and getting no response.

I do agree the perception is very much that the Police have lost their people skills and really aren't interested in "minor" offences or giving advice. I know you can get advice, but you seem to have to push for it rather than it be offered.

Also after catching three people during a break in despite leading the police through a few things like explaining that they may have thrown he key they stole away while running up the road. They did and I went up the road and found it while the police did sweet fa. Also suggesting various items they should take to finger print etc. One of the two police people started to play snake on her mobile phone while I was giving a statement. Very professional.
