Depends what its ultimately going to be used for Adam.

If my car was going to remian become my everyday driver again, then i would have stuck with the 6 speed, as it was perfect for that situation, even with the 2.5.

As its not i have gone the PPG Straight cut synchro kit, with Modena front diff, hopefully DCCD centre and a quaife rear diff.

ahh one of my all time favourite pastimes!

Steven,

if going for a dccd, try to get yourself a plated rear diff, 160 if thats what you need, but r180 is obviously more available.

they make for a much more adjustable rear end if you are going to make use of the dccd.

LOL Adam

I thought you had read my thread on 22B, i could be wrong, but i allready have an r160 3.9:1 with a Quaife rear diff. I know thats not clear from the above post, but i dont want to change that, and my understanding is the DCCD will work with the quaife quite well.

If that doesnt work well, then its save up for the modena centre at £1200+++++++

I have the 6 spd with dccd / plate rear diff in a 96 sti ra , very nice box ,5 spd ate 5th day after the car was mapped , about £2500 +vat for the "kit" (box, propshaft, linkage but no gear **** !) but it does add a fair bit of weight, dccd is fun but may kill you :-)
Have a good one
Tim
