import or uk car...

Not sure where you guys get your insurance but i'm with Bell Direct (Admiral) and there is only £60 a year difference between a same age and value UK and JDM which allowing for the fact that the JDM even in standard WRX guise is more powerful is pretty good in my opinion.
I have an import and would have no problems buying another in the future. When i was looking for mine i spent months reading through ads, websites and the Haynes buyers guide and one thing became obvious, if you are setting yourself a budget, the JDM you can get for that budget will be more powerful, better specced, lower mileage and more than likely newer than the UK you could get for the same budget.
As for being 'dodgy' any car anywhere can be 'dodgy', there are no guarantees whatsoever that because its a UK it isn't going to be a thrashed dog and the only 'dodgy' thing about my JDM is the poor paint job on the front splitter which was done in the UK!

uk cars are great for insurance and running costs,insurance,serviceing etc
jdm cars are for the people who don't care about the running costs etc and just want a sheer performance car.....
well thats my opinion anyway
