Not sure - I'm a financial advisor in Belfast, so I get 'figures' on a daily basis. It would probably be Nationwide or Halifax, as they seem to match actual buying/selling prices more accurately

ING Direct do a 5% savings account.

Also, if you're with HSBC, they have an 8% savings account, but then you have to deposit 250 per month for a year, but could be wise usage of 5K.

TBH, I would stick it with ING if I had that kind of money and didn't want to risk it
