I'm waiting for the audible warning, the dealer said I needed new pads 'soon' - in November 2003!! No warning squeal as yet??

I have NEVER been on a track in my Impreza!! So, I'm not sure what you are on about?

I have a few imposters, you will be aware!

Is that "imposters" or "impersonators"?

Others will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is illegal, you not having proper control of your vehicle.
I do hope you would not be in neutral either 'cos no power steering or brake servo assistance after a few applications.
A burst of power, if needed quickly, rather hard too.
Oh well, perhaps you've just got a very "lazy" MAF.
Most I've ever had, driving in full anticipation, observation and acceleration sense mode, off boost, long journey is circa 30mpg.
Oh, my pads, original, 6mm left allround at 31K miles.

Excellent news .... would you believe that there are people around who can't drive properly and get less than 30,000miles out of a set!! I know, how did they pass their test??? ...... the test is easier now than it was in the 1940's, clearly!

Oh, yes, I am certainly in control of my vehicle with the engine off and free-wheeling!

Pete
