Nice to meet you all tonight, and thanks for making us feel welcome Sorry I had to dash off at 9pm, I had to be in work at Stockport for 9:36 ! Made it by 9:44, so not too bad
Cubley Hall is an excellent venue for monthly meets, but what was the food like, expensive! Looked a bit too posh for a scooby meet
Alan C, keep an eye on our runs out, and your more than welcome to come along to one of our routes around derbyshire/cheshire.
See you all again,
chris.

Hi Chris. Nice to meet you and the others. Apologies for forgetting the stickers (brain lika sieve) They'll be in the post today.
Dunno about others, but my pizza was fine. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and far lower than you'd expect from initial impressions of the building / surroundings.
Add that to the fantastic array of proper roads heading off in every direction and you've got a location that's going to be hard to beat.

Chris, Dai, Pete...

Good to meet you all last night, at last, and I hope the run back was as good as your run in... You'll definately be hearing from us once we're settled down and we'll definately get together for a run... August / Sept sounds best as we seem to be planning a few months ahead..

I agree that the venue was superb (Nice one Daz) and it does seem to have everything we need.. a few more visits will give us a good feeling for the place as a whole.. I thought the food and beer were excellent.. my Burger was £3 cheaper than the old place and much better quality.. Dave & Helen's pasta dish ponged the room out, but it did smell great!

Chris is going to put up a thread for comments so we can post there with any ideas etc..

We'll definately have to check out the roads on the Main meet.. I assume Dave, Paul, Steff, Chris, Mark or SCG will give us a run down of the roads back..

BTW.. Sticky makes a better driver than a passenger

Well contrary to popular rumour myself, Simon and Mark are all alive and not still roaming the roads around Cubley Hall trying to find our way home, despite being left to fend for ourselves by the rest of the group, again

After tearing past Simon on one of the straights only to the realise how tight the corner ahead was managed to make it around the corner just about still on the road and proceeded to pursue the rest of the group. I could see the rear lights ahead and was closing in fast, came flying around the corner and found myself right behind.......................a corsa WTF!!! Where the hell has everyone gone Followed a sign for Denby Dale and found ourselves at a junction in front of a BP garage that we had passed earlier and worked out where I was, Mark made his own way from there and Simon and I headed off towards FB and then cut through past Emley Moor, nice quiet roads all the way near enough

So all in all a good night, not so sure about the prices myself but have to say the pizza was very nice and as it's only once a month I reckon it'll be all good

Charming. Having had firsthand experience of my (lack of) driving skills I must be a sheoite passenger. And there's me thinking I'd kept you entertained all the way home

Sorry about not waiting for you Barry but i had to hang on to Dave or we would have got lost too! I have to say i really enjoyed the drive home. It was the first time i have driven that quick in the dark. I stayed quite far back behind Dave(not that I didnt trust you or anything) so I think i may have blinded him on the odd occasion as i struggled to see the bends across the moor, so sorry about that Dave

That was a real devil on one shoulder angel on right shoulder moment like you get in a cartoon . 3 of us at a T-junction me in middle, Barry to left, Mark to right. Mark "M1 just round there", Barry "I know twisty roads to left". The devil won.

Barry - I think your can safely say your remap has worked.

Mrs stayed up to ensure I was alive which I was happy about otherwise I'd have had to move the cars round on me todd! The faffing about will end tomorrow when the security post gets fitted At 08:00

Al, should have smelt our bedroom later [parp] mmmmm, garlic
The roads back were lots of fun but How come Barry and Simon failed to keep up when we were being led by a 1.2 65hp 3 cylinder Seat
Chris, you never fail to extract every last ounce out of whatever you're driving only slight problem was, Paul and Steff had asked for a quick route home to get back to see to the dogs, and asked if it was possible to avoid all the sCameras. We did avoid them, but on a route which seemed to go on forever and finally saw us pull out onto the Denby Dale road behind one of our number (Mark) whom we'd lost 20 minutes earlier
Steff, you didn't blind me

Off to do some research on the roads around there

I blame the guy in the Shell garage for giving me 7 packets of Optimax cards - weighed me down.

Dave- it helps when you know the roads, and can keep your eyes closed round the bends.

Well being as A) he hasn't posted yet and B) I think that's cos he can't get online during the day and C) I'm sure it's not possible that Simon couldn't keep up with steff - I blame Mark, we had to keep slowing down to wait for him to catch up, isn't that right Simon

It certainly does seem to have brought the scoob to life and the new tyres that went on yesterday are a vast improvement over the old ones, only problem now is stopping the bloody thing

Barry, I'd suggest keeping as close as possible to Dave's rear bumper.

Excuse me but I was behind Simon and it's not exactly easy to overtake out there, so
